Plans for an Israeli revenge strike against Iran have been “leaked” as Tehran said “they will pay the price for the drone strike on the prime minister’s house”.

Secret plans showing Israel’s preparation for a possible revenge strike against Iran have been leaked, US officials confirmed.

The Intel The leak, described as “deeply concerning,” comes amid rising tensions between Israel and Iran as the Middle East teeters on the brink of all-out war.

The alleged documents, labeled “top secret,” are said to contain U.S. intelligence analyzing Israel’s inevitable retaliation plan Iran.

Tehran went all out to launch an unprecedented lightning attack, attacking Israeli territory with around 200 ballistic missiles.

It was believed to be revenge for the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Iran’s largest – and most powerful – terrorist organization Hezbollah.

According to the New York Times, portions of the leaked document dated October 15 and 16 reportedly contain satellite images that appear to show Israel’s preparation of ammunition and military exercises.

Others describe the assessment that the Israeli Air Force is using long-range ballistic missiles and air-to-surface missiles, presumably planned for a possible attack on Iran.

The documents also suggest that Israel is covertly monitoring Iran using advanced drones technology.

The Sun does not directly quote or show the information from the leaked documents.

Regarding the leak, senior U.S. officials privately acknowledged that the documents were authentic but suggested they were not a comprehensive assessment of Israel’s comprehensive retaliation plan against Iran.

They said the documents merely outlined the information that U.S. intelligence analysts were able to gather at the time the document was released.

However, US officials told CNN the leak was “deeply concerning.”

The leaked documents have markings indicating they are intended only for the US and its Five Eyes – Australia, CanadaNew Zealand and the United Kingdom.

However, on Friday, portions of the highly sensitive documents began circulating on Telegram after they were published by an account called the Middle East Spectator, The Telegraph reports.

The account claims to have no ties to the Iranian regime – and is said to be managed by a group of independent journalists who describe the Israeli government as a “Zionist regime.”

Although the New York Times reported that the documents were largely discussed by pro-Iranian groups.

Netanyahu’s revenge

Israel is now expected to retaliate after Iran attacked the country with nearly 200 ballistic missiles targeting civilians.

Live footage from Israel showed hundreds of ballistic missiles being launched by Israeli air defenses over Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

Air raid sirens wailed across the country as innocent Israelis scrambled to seek shelter in their air raid sirens housesunder bridges and in air raid shelters.

Deafening explosions were also heard in the Jordan Valley, which lies on the border between Jordan and the West Bank.

Early warning systems detected the launches and the skies over Israel began to light up within minutes.

Red tracer bullets from the Iron Dome and David’s Sling intercept stations were seen firing the incoming missiles while also sending white, burning debris to Earth.

According to the IDF, at least 10 million civilians were targeted in the unprecedented night attack.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Netanyahu appears more ready to take off than ever strikes after his seaside residence was attacked by Hezbollah yesterday Drones in a brazen assassination attempt.

Three drones are understood to have entered Israeli airspace today after escaping air defenses.

Two of them were shot down after the breach.

But one managed to hit a building in Caesarea – very close to Netanyahu’s holiday home.

Netanyahu, 74, and his wife Sara, 65, were unhurt.

Military commanders believe he was the target of a revenge attack after his troops killed both Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and Hamas boss Yahya Sinwar on Wednesday.

Netanyahu has since claimed the drone strike was part of an assassination plot planned by Iran and vowed Tehran would “pay a price” for a drone strike.

Iranian officials, meanwhile, tried to downplay the situation but confirmed that the drones were indeed launched by Hezbollah.

Although Tehran denied any involvement in the drone strike that appeared to have “eliminated Netanyahu.”

Iran has also vowed to respond to any Israeli attack – saying there are “no red lines.”

CURRENTLY IN THE MIDDLE EAST WAR

Hezbollah fired a volley of more than 100 rockets into Israel, killing at least one person and wounding others in the country’s northern region.

Footage shared by the IDF shows a building destroyed by the rocket attack fired from Lebanon at innocent Israelis.

The IDF posted the clip on X/Twitter and said: “Hezbollah fires rockets indiscriminately and this is the result.”

Earlier this month, Israel launched its ground operation in Lebanon to weaken Hezbollah and push the terror group from the border to allow displaced Israelis to return.

In response, the IDF attacked several targets in Lebanon that they claim are Hezbollah strongholds.

The buildings hit included Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters and an underground weapons workshop in Beirut

The Israeli military also issued new evacuation warnings for civilians staying in Beirut’s southern suburbs.

IDF Colonel Avichay Adraee said: “They are close to Hezbollah facilities that the IDF will take action against nearby.” Future.”

Israel is currently at war with Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon – both Iranian-backed militant groups.

The IDF has attacked parts of northern Gaza, claiming they aim to wipe out Hamas affiliates.

However, the attacks also killed numerous Palestinians who were in the densely populated area.

According to Gaza-run, more than 42,000 Palestinians have been killed in the war so far Health centers.

The number also includes Hamas terrorists.

Georgia’s new voting rules are still in effect, and the race between Harris and Trump is now fast and furious • Georgia Recorder

Georgia’s new voting rules are still in effect, and the race between Harris and Trump is now fast and furious • Georgia Recorder

The ongoing dispute over the Georgia State Election Board’s recent overhaul of the way counties conduct elections could be left to the state’s highest court to decide whether the board overstepped its authority.

The Republican Party of Georgia and the National Republican Committee are asking the Georgia Supreme Court to make a final decision on whether the state will enforce a series of new requirements with just over two weeks until Election Day. Republican lawyers on Wednesday want to overturn a Fulton County judge’s ruling that blocks the state elections board from issuing several new rules for the Nov. 5 general election unless the state Supreme Court rules otherwise.

Several Republican groups appealed Thursday directly to the Georgia Supreme Court, which will decide whether or not to take up the case. The once-unknown election board is now drawing attention across the country because its rules could potentially influence the presidential race between Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump.

Republicans are calling for a decision by the Georgia Supreme Court, rather than the state’s appeals court, to expedite an answer to whether the election board’s series of new rules in recent months have exceeded the constitutional authority of state election boards.

The Supreme Court is likely to decide in the next few days whether to hear a case involving a government agency’s constitutional right to make changes to how elections are conducted across the state.

Georgia state officials, voting rights groups, county election officials and Democratic and Republican party groups are watching with keen interest as Georgia courts resolve recent challenges to the State Election Board’s rules.

Several civil rights organizations are closely watching as Republican parties appealed to the state Supreme Court on Friday to reinstate a controversial hand-counting rule for ballots.

Georgia is one of seven swing states that could influence the outcome of the presidential game between Harris and Trump on November 5th.

Top Republican Party officials are sharply criticizing Supreme Court Justice Thomas A. Cox Jr.’s ruling last week that three right-wing members of the State Election Board violated the law by usurping the power to govern the legislature , which the judge says is within the jurisdiction of the Republican Party’s Georgia General Assembly.

Cox wrote in his ruling that the Georgia Constitution simply gives the General Assembly the exclusive right to enact election laws, which are overseen and ratified by the State Department.

The Cox ruling overturned polarizing rule changes that gave local election board members the right to inspect voting records before certifying the results. The judge also issued new guidelines that allow county election board officials to consider any vote discrepancies or other voting irregularities when deciding whether to reject or certify the results.

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley called Cox’s ruling “the worst kind of legal activism” based on political partisanship rather than sound legal principles.

“By striking down the Georgia State Election Board’s common-sense rules put in place to protect Georgia’s elections, the judge sided with Democrats in their attacks on transparency, accountability and the integrity of our elections,” Whatley said in a statement Explanation.

If Georgia’s elections are more secure than ever, why do so many voters distrust the system?

The state elections board has been forced to defend itself against a barrage of lawsuits since former Republican state Sen. Rick Jeffares and political media personality Janelle King were appointed to the five-member board earlier this year. The controversial rules were often adopted by a 3-2 majority, with Republican Janice Johnston of Fulton County joining King of Sandy Spring and Jeffares of Henry County in pushing the proposed changes until the rules were finalized several weeks later.

Georgia’s Republican Attorney General Chris Carr warned the board in writing in late September about the actions of the three members Trump praised, saying their actions were not permitted under Georgia law.

One of the lawsuits Cox ruled on Wednesday was filed by Eternal Vigilance Action, an election advocacy nonprofit founded in 2021 by former Republican Rep. Scot Turner. Individual plaintiffs in the lawsuit included Turner and James Hall, a Republican member of the Chatham County Board of Elections.

Turner said he decided to file a lawsuit against the Georgia Board of Elections because he believes it improperly assumed election rule duties assigned to the state Legislature. Before leaving the House at the end of 2020, Turner sponsored several major election bills and served on the House committee that reviewed and voted on election law advancements outside of committee.

Turner said his lawsuit is about the merits of each of the state board’s new rules, but rather a defense of the long-standing conservative principle of a separation of powers in government.

“I don’t know what the Supreme Court will do at this point, but I can tell you we are ready to continue the fight no matter what,” Turner said.

The Holly Springs Republican, who defended his strong conservative voting record in the Legislature, said he also accused the Georgia Board of Elections in 2020 of improperly adopting several emergency voting rules in response to the pandemic.

Turner said he understands how frustrated some election board officials get when state legislatures don’t pass laws based on the board’s recommendations. But he said lawyers defending the Georgia Board of Elections’ current rules are arguing in court that an executive board of unelected bureaucrats has been given powers that conflict with Georgia law and conservative ideology.

“It cannot be that five unelected people take matters into their own hands in the style of a vigilante or an emperor,” he said.

Voters line up at the Rose Creek Public Library in Woodstock on the first day of early voting. Ross Williams/Georgia recorder

The timing of election board meetings was a constant source of tension this summer and fall among state association members representing Georgia’s local election officials. The panel’s new rules, which require a hand count of ballots cast on Election Day, expanding poll watcher access and voter certification, have been criticized by Democrats and civil rights groups as a potential cause of chaos at the polls and among county poll workers.

Trump praised King, Jeffares and Johnston by name for supporting changes to county election certification boards and other election rules, calling them “pit bulls” for “victory” during a campaign rally in Atlanta this summer.

The day before Cox announced his ruling, Supreme Court Justice Robert McBurney ruled on a complaint filed by Fulton Republican Board of Elections member Julie Adams after she refused to certify the March presidential primary. McBurney ruled that it would be mandatory for local election boards to certify election results and that county election officials could request to inspect election records before the deadline.

King rejects allegations of partisan rulemaking

King lamented Cox’s rejection of the seven rules she had championed. He found it unconstitutional and added a rebuke to the electoral board, which he said had interfered in the legislative business. She said she supported the new rules not based on loyalty to Trump or the Republican Party, but rather on her desire to protect the integrity and accuracy of Georgia’s elections.

“This was a Republican who filed this case against us, so this is not a partisan issue,” she said. “It’s all about how people view our role,” King said Thursday on the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Politically Georgia podcast.

She recalled that Cox repealed some rules that were also supported by the Georgia Association of Voter Registration and Election Officials.

“I’m really more disappointed that I feel like the pendulum has swung,” King said. “There were a lot of people who were against what we were doing and they were so upset and emotional about it. Now I think they have some reprieve and now the pendulum has swung to the other side.”

Protesters made allegations of open meeting violations against three conservative members of the state election board on July 12. Board member Rick Jeffares (right) responded by threatening to remove people from office for being disruptive. Recorder by Stanley Dunlap/Georgia (file)

The Georgia NAACP and the Georgia Coalition for the People’s Agenda are intervening on behalf of plaintiffs challenging a hand-counting ballot rule that they say would delay key certification deadlines. The rule would require three poll workers in each precinct to open ballot boxes after polls close and count ballots individually to confirm whether the hand count matches the number of machine-counted ballots.

“We were proud to represent our customers and the interests of Georgia voters and local election officials, preventing an unelected state election board from rewriting our election law and bringing chaos to the democratic system in the immediate run-up to the November election,” he told Andrea Young, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia, which helps provide legal services to the intervening groups.

“Early voting has begun and over one million Georgians have already cast their ballot,” Young said in a statement. “Judge Cox’s decision prevented a mid-game rule change. We were pleased the trial court agreed with us and look forward to arguing our case next in the state’s highest court.”

Injuries are an unfortunate inevitability in the NFL, and Week 7 is no exception. The injury bug has been hitting the entire league this season, and we’re seeing that continue this week with a handful of big-name players out.

One of the major injuries occurred when Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered an Achilles tendon injury in the second quarter against the Bengals and had to be transported. The Browns fear the quarterback will miss the rest of the season.

Below is an updated team-by-team list of all other major Week 7 injuries around the league.

  • Curtis Samuel (shoulder): It’s questionable whether the Bills wideout will return after suffering a shoulder injury in the first quarter of Buffalo’s matchup against the Titans.

Cincinnati Bengals

  • Geno Stone (left leg): The Bengals safety is ruled out with a left leg injury.
  • Deshaun Watson (Achilles): The Browns’ starting quarterback suffered a non-contact injury with less than two minutes left in the first half of the team’s Week 7 game against the Bengals. After he was carted off the field, Cleveland officially ruled him out with an Achilles tendon injury. Kevin Stefanski says he fears Watson will be out for the season.
  • Dorian Thompson Robinson (fingers): The Browns played in place of the injured Deshaun Watson and ruled out Thompson-Robinson after he suffered a finger injury late in the game. Jameis Winston took over the role of emergency quarterback.
  • David Montgomery (leg): The Lions’ running back returned to action in the first few minutes of the second quarter after a knee injury made it questionable whether he would play again on Sunday.
  • Jaylon Carlies (calf): The Colts linebacker is out with a calf injury he suffered in the second quarter.

Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Cam Robinson (concussion): Jacksonville’s starting left tackle left in the first half of the club’s Week 7 game against New England in London. Initially, the team said he was being evaluated for a concussion and later ruled it out once the diagnosis was confirmed.

Kansas City Chiefs

  • JuJu Smith-Schuster (thigh): The Chiefs say it is questionable whether Smith-Schuster will return from a hamstring injury in Week 7.
  • Aidan O’Connell (thumb): The Las Vegas Raiders quarterback went to the locker room after suffering an apparent hand injury. The team has since determined that O’Connell’s return is questionable due to a thumb injury. Gardner Minshew is at quarterback.
  • Tyler Huntley (right shoulder): Dolphins starting quarterback Tyler Huntley went to the locker room after suffering a right shoulder injury. After initially listing him as questionable to return, the Dolphins downgraded Huntley to out. Tim Boyle is the replacement.

New England Patriots

  • Layden Robinson (ankle): New England’s starting right guard suffered the injury in the first half and was initially listed as questionable to return. He was downgraded to out in the opening minutes of the third quarter.
  • DeMario Douglas (illness): The Patriots wideout was listed as questionable to return for the team’s Week 7 matchup against the Jaguars. As NFL Media reports, Douglas woke up sick and took anti-nausea medication and an IV, but appears to be slowing down due to the illness.
  • Ja’Lynn Polk (leader): Polk suffered a head injury near the end of the Week 7 match and was officially listed as doubtful to return.
  • Ty Summers (ankle): Giants linebacker Ty Summers is out for the rest of the game with an ankle injury.
  • Mekhi Becton (concussion): The Eagles’ offensive tackle is out with a concussion.
  • DK Metcalf (Knee): The Seahawks’ star wide receiver is questionable due to a knee injury. He was also seen carrying it into the locker room.
  • Jayden Daniels (rib): The Commanders’ rookie quarterback could be seen having his rib area examined by trainers on the sideline. The Irish have proven themselves beatable, and if the Black Knights get it done, we could be discussing Army in the 12-team playoffs at the end of November.

No. 24 Marine

Record: 6:0 (4:0 American)
Last game: Defeated Charlotte 51-17
Last undefeated season: 1926 (9-0-1)

The Navy has already reached its 2023 victory mark, and much like the Army, the Midshipmen have yet to be truly challenged. However, Navy will play Notre Dame next weekend at a neutral site at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. On the other hand, if it works, the Midshipmen will be in a good position for a perfect season.

Freedom

Record: 5:0 (3:0 CUSA)
Last game: Defeated Florida International, 31-24 (OT)
Last undefeated season: N/A

It hasn’t been smooth sailing for the Flames, but they are 5-0 for the second straight year. They are coming off an overtime win against FIU on Oct. 8, but without a ranked game on their schedule, Liberty could be looking at another undefeated regular season.

This coming-of-age gem is the most underrated film of 2024

This coming-of-age gem is the most underrated film of 2024

The article contains spoilers for Snack Shack.

The summery coming-of-age film enchanted audiences and critics alike for decades. From the popular baseball film The Sandlot in the 90s to the sun-drenched mermaid movie Aquamarine In the 2000s, the subgenre flourished well into the 2010s and beyond. There was a timelessness to these films that kept them in the pop culture lexicon and in the hearts and minds of film lovers. After all, every adult was sixteen themselves at some point, and teenagers wanted to see films in which they could see themselves in the characters and the struggles they went through. Summer in particular seemed like the perfect season to explore such themes and characters. With school closed, the possibilities for the shenanigans and adventures the characters can have seemed endless.

There was one such film in 2024, one with a limited theatrical release that seemed to stay under the radar of most moviegoers despite positive critical reviews. Those who couldn’t see it in theaters have either never heard of it or have been waiting to be able to stream it at home. However, when it finally found a streaming home on Prime Video, it finally seemed to find its audience and quickly became the shining example of the year’s biggest underrated gem. Snack Hut has established itself as a summer coming-of-age classic Thanks to its lovable and realistic characters as well as the perfectly designed seasonal and regional atmosphere.

Snack Shack has flawed but lovable main characters

It takes place in Nebraska in the summer of 1991 Snack Hut followed best friends Moose and AJ as they bought the local swimming pool snack bar in one of their desperate get-rich-quick schemes. What followed were the typical teenage movie beats: first love, first deeply personal loss and first major friendship dispute. Nothing that hasn’t already happened in these types of films, but Snack Hut He wisely focused on a core component of any great film to engage the audience in the plot: the characters. Although none of them were ever perfect and flawed, they were still endearing and relatable to many.

AJ, portrayed by Conor Sherry, anchored the film perfectly. Like many teenage film protagonists, he was a little awkward, a little insecure, and a little chaotic when talking to girls his age. Although he always followed his best friend Moose’s plans and schemes, he was certainly not the ringleader. He was a likeable character, a typical protagonist in films of this type, but thanks to Sherry’s sincere performance, he was a character that was easy to fall in love with. His best friend Moose, perfectly portrayed by rising star Gabriel LaBelle, was recently seen in Saturday eveningwas the perfect opposite of AJ. Quick-thinking but not always thoughtful, funny but not always as serious as he should, Moose was a wonderful foil to AJ, but their differences only made their friendship stronger. The chemistry between the actors was wonderful and they were able to interact with each other in a believable and endearing way. They truly felt like lifelong best friends, so much so that it felt like a huge sigh of relief after they made up after an argument.

Two supporting characters who shook up her world were the cool new lifeguard Brooke, played wonderfully by Mika Abdalla, and her older brother figure Shane, played by the always good Nick Robinson. Brooke found herself at the center of a love triangle between the two boys, which eventually led to a massive rift in their relationship. First love and heartbreak always hurt deeply, and although the boys’ relationships with her were messy, they were sincere, and it was heartwarming to see the two reconcile while still maintaining a relationship with Brooke. It was refreshing to see a female character insert herself into the central story, similar to Sloane Peterson Ferris Bueller’s day off.

Brooke left town with two touching gifts for AJ and another kiss, leaving the door open for the audience to decide whether they want to stay in touch. However, Shane had a much sadder ending. When he died in a car accident, part of Moose and AJ also died. The first major loss in her young life, her grief was palpable on screen, a testament to LaBelle and Sherry’s achievements. Losing a friend can be unbearable at any age, but especially at 16, when so many teenagers thought themselves and their friends were invincible. The only spark of hope after Shane’s tragic and unfair end came from Brooke, who left AJ with a picture of him and Shane by the pool, their time together frozen forever.

“Snack Shack” captured the highs and lows of a Midwestern summer

This coming-of-age gem is the most underrated film of 2024

The summer atmosphere in Nebraska was captured perfectly Snack Hut. The vast blue sky above the characters’ heads felt endless, especially during the twilight scenes where pink and lavender painted the cornfields and grass below. At the municipal swimming pool, you could smell the chlorine smell of the bright blue water, feel the scratch of the concrete beneath your bare feet, and feel the stickiness of spilled Coke and ketchup dripping down your fingers.

The city swimming pool, the movie theater, and a street full of shops were places Moose and AJ could go without a license, and the film took advantage of everything they could from those locations. Snack Hut wasn’t writer/director Adam Rehmeier’s first foray through the Midwest. His 2020 film Dinner in America followed its characters on a road trip through the same region.

The fictional city Snack Hut was in a certain way alive and almost tangibly located. When Moose and AJ walked the worn streets, or when AJ sat on the roof and felt the summer breeze on his face, Rehmeier and the crew did an incredible job making every little detail feel real, as if the audience was watching it would feel the golden sunshine and cold water of the pool on their skin, just like the characters. Nebraska may not be Los Angeles or New York City, but there were many small towns full of heart and beauty. The Midwest suburbs could have been a prison for AJ and Moose, but instead they were a magical place full of opportunity and the place where they made so many memories together. Even town girl Brooke eventually became familiar with the place.

The Midwest had an undeniable charm. The suburbs gave way to rural farmland within minutes. The sky seemed to last forever, bright blue during the day and an explosion of melted pastels as the summer sun finally set. To some, the town swimming pool may not look like anything special, but to the characters and even some spectators, it was special, a place to make money while making memories. Summers may be humid and long, but they also possess a kind of magic that can only be found in the Midwest Snack Hut benefited from a region of America that is woefully underutilized in the film industry.

“Snack Shack” will hopefully be the first of many more summer movies for teens to come

Shane, played by Nick Robinson, reads a magazine while looking offscreen in

Every summer I grew up felt full of promise, as if those three sun-drenched months held nothing but adventure, fun, and life-changing moments. For many, being a teenager felt much the same: first love, loss, and big life experiences all happening in just a few years. AJ and Moose’s summer experiences in 1991 captured this feeling perfectly. The teenage years were full of ups and downs. Even with your first kiss you experienced a deep loss. Friends changed and fought, came and went, while others stayed and deepened the friendship.

As a teenager, everything felt monumental, and honestly, everything Was monumental. This was the first time so many people experienced milestones, the good, the bad and the heartbreaking. It was the first time they had felt so many complicated and painful feelings at once, and in the heat of summer everything felt so much bigger and endless. Moose and AJ weren’t the first teenage characters to have their experiences and life-changing summer showcased in a summer coming-of-age film, and they certainly won’t be the last, but they had the most fun to look at them.
