Spurs thought they had Eriksen’s replacement, now he’s playing in League One

In recent years, Tottenham Hotspur have been home to countless attacking talents, many of whom have captured the hearts of the fan base following their respective moves to North London.

James Maddison is just one of several talents in Ange Postecoglou’s current first team and has become a key player in the Australian’s side following his £40million move from Leicester City in the summer of 2023.

In the Englishman’s 39 appearances for the club, he scored a total of 18 goals or assists, averaging a contribution in every other game during his first 12 months in the capital.

Winger Dejan Kulusevski also impressed during his almost three-year spell in north London, recording double-figure goal contributions in each season he played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Sweden international has even been playing in Postecoglou’s central midfield in recent weeks, perhaps following in the footsteps of a player who was idolized by many during his time at the club.

Christian Eriksen’s stats for Tottenham Hotspur

Danish attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen moved to Spurs from Ajax for £11.5 million in the summer of 2013 – and made a huge impression in his six-and-a-half years at the club.

He performed consistently under various managers, including Mauricio Pochettino, making over 35 appearances in each season until his departure in January 2020.

Eriksen made a total of 305 appearances for the Lilywhites, often attracting attention with his passing range and instinct for picking out a teammate or the back of the net.

The now 32-year-old scored 69 goals and 88 assists during his time in the capital, won the club’s Player of the Year award twice and helped the club reach the Champions League final in 2019.

However, he left north London under José Mourinho back in January 2020 and wanted a new challenge at Inter Milan – joining the Italian giants in a £17m deal – a deal that saw the club make a profit from his investment.

His departure undoubtedly left a large gap in the attacking areas, leaving the team lacking creativity in some games, with Eriksen’s intricate passing often aiding the team in these delicate matters.

Despite this, there was a belief within the club that there was already a ready-made replacement for the Dane in the club’s academy and that the young player had the talent to break into the first team under Antonio Conte in 2022.

The player who was a ready-made Eriksen replacement

Midfielder Harvey White is a product of the club’s academy and has often been in and around the first team for many years, but has mainly played as a regular for the youth teams.

He made his senior national team debut in November 2020 when he replaced Dele Alli in the 4-0 Europa League win over Ludogorets – at the tender age of just 18.

However, he only made one more appearance that season before having to wait another two years to get another chance in the first team, this time under Antonio Conte.

White made just one appearance under the Italian, totaling just four minutes as a substitute in the Premier League game against Crystal Palace on January 4, 2023 – a game that would be his last for the club.

With his tally of five goals and four assists the previous season, he returned to the youth teams and drew comparisons to former star Eriksen from journalist Emma de Duve – but ultimately he never had the opportunity to showcase his talent in north London place.

The now 23-year-old has found a new permanent home at League One club Stevenage and joined Alex Revell’s side for an undisclosed fee in the 2023 summer transfer window.

The youngster has since made 31 appearances for Boro and has taken his game to the next level this season, scoring one goal and four assists in his first 13 games of the new season.

White still has plenty of time to fulfill his potential, with regular playing time with his current team giving him the best possible opportunity to do so.

Tom Brady’s juggling act as Raiders owner and TV analyst seems untenable for Fox

Tom Brady’s juggling act as Raiders owner and TV analyst seems untenable for Fox

Troy Aikman was angry – and honest.

“I don’t like the call at all,” Aikman said.

Aikman, ESPN’s lead analyst for “Monday Night Football,” reacted to a penalty during the final game broadcast. With the Buffalo Bills trailing the New York Jets 20-17 with 9:32 left in the third quarter, Buffalo linebacker AJ Epenesa was called for a harsh passer penalty on Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, a decision that unified Rodgers Day later self-described “A bit ridiculous.”

After explaining the call on the field, Russell Yurk, former NFL vice president of instant replay and administration and now a rules analyst for ESPN’s “Monday Night Football,” agreed: “Troy, the reason they called is this situation.” because he lands with most or all of his body weight. It looked like he was trying to move a hand to the side, but obviously the referee felt he hadn’t made enough attempts to steady it.”

Even more annoyed, Aikman said, “I get it. I don’t like it.”

Last Monday the flags kept coming, with the teams combining for 22 penalties for 204 yards. With 2:47 left in the final quarter, Aikman had had enough. He spoke on behalf of much of the audience: “It’s like a preseason game,” Aikman said.

When he saw Aikman on Monday — he and play-by-play announcer Joe Buck have been sensational this season — he didn’t sugarcoat the officials. Aikman praised lead official Adrian Hill’s crew for correctly identifying the penalties. He criticized when he thought they had missed something. He was unfiltered, he cut no corners and he upheld the unspoken agreement that a sports television analyst should have with the audience: Stay true to what you see.

That brings us to Tom Brady.

On Tuesday, NFL team owners voted unanimously to give Brady partial ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders. Brady and Tom Wagner, co-founders of Knighthead Capital Management, are said to have bought about 10 percent of the Raiders.

If Brady were simply a would-be Hall of Famer extending his connection to the NFL through ownership, that would be a story, but not one with implications for those who see the product. As the sports world knows, Brady debuted in September as Fox’s No. 1 NFL analyst this season alongside play-by-play voice Kevin Burkhardt. Fox has broadcast rights to the Super Bowl this year, meaning Brady will broadcast the league’s most important game. He has six games in a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox Corp.

How can someone broadcast games while owning a significant stake in a franchise? Well, the NFL placed restrictions on Brady before the season, including not allowing him access to other teams’ facilities or training sessions and not being allowed to participate in production meetings for television broadcasts. But here’s the important thing for the purposes of this column: As an owner, Brady is also not allowed to publicly criticize officials or other teams, and he could be fined or suspended if the league feels he is violating violates this policy.

“Tom has stuck to the issues that we in the committee have voluntarily raised since he began broadcasting, so everything is resolved,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell told reporters on Tuesday. “It has been followed very clearly and everyone seems happy with it.”

The NFL confirmed the same on Wednesday: “There were no issues and Tom was a wonderful addition to NFL broadcasts,” a league spokesman said.

Jerry Jones and Tom Brady

So that’s the league perspective. But what about the viewers? There is an implicit agreement between those broadcasting games and the audience: we work for you, the viewer. We now live in the real world, and sports media jobs have long had conflicts of interest. (Look no further than professional tennis, where coaches also serve as on-air analysts.) But predetermined limits on what you can say don’t allow for a solution. The league has told a top NFL analyst that there is a limit to what he can say under the NFL’s charter and bylaws. Think about what would happen if there was a failed call that cost someone the Super Bowl. Maybe Brady would ignore the restrictions and just attack the officers. Maybe he’ll get a few hits. The point is that restriction changes everything.

When asked how Fox Sports viewed the broadcast restrictions on Brady and how they thought it was possible that Brady might be assigned to games in Las Vegas, Fox Sports declined to comment.

It’s important to note that nothing changes for Fox Sports if Brady is cleared on Tuesday. They have been working under these guidelines since the start of the season and Fox Sports is pleased with Brady’s development and work. His next assignment is the Super Bowl rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET on Fox.

This week, The athlete contacted a few sports television producers and all confirmed that the reaction from the league and owners is worth watching as Brady moves deeper into the season. Everyone thought Brady could overcome any restrictions on production meetings and practices – coaches and players will turn to him – but the restrictions on comments are the third rail.

The producers also noticed something interesting: People will actively listen and pay careful attention when Brady says something critical about another franchise or official. Also the opposite. People will judge whether he is intentionally avoiding what is in front of him. This is chaos for everyone.

“You have to at least know that you have the freedom to express your opinion about officiating,” said a veteran NFL broadcaster who was granted anonymity to speak candidly. “These are split-second decisions on air. You can’t think about whether the league will be happy.”

I’ve often written in this column about Richie Zyontz and Rich Russo, the lead producer and director of Fox’s No. 1 NFL team. They are widely regarded as the best there is in sports production. Brady has improved in his six games – he’s by no means transformative and nowhere near Aikman’s level, but he’s certainly a serviceable analyst – and he’s been supported by a lot of good people who have put him in successful spots. He has also received great reviews from behind-the-scenes staff and on-air colleagues about how he truly integrates into a team.

But good production can only overcome so much. Missing production meetings is a minor problem. It is an unconscious self-censorship based on ownership. If I had to predict: The restrictions are unsustainable in the long term and Brady will leave the dressing room long before the end of his contract.

Minot State Football begins its two-game road trip with the Battle of the Beavers

Minot State Football begins its two-game road trip with the Battle of the Beavers

Sean Arbaut (Arbaut Photography

football

BEMIDJI, MN. – It’s a dogfight in the NSIC rankings. Despite two straight losses, Minot State football remains solidly in the middle of the pack and looks to make more lemonade after a 4-1 start.

Just last Saturday, October 12th, the Beavers suffered their first home loss. Still, staying within touching distance of No. 20 and reigning NSIC champion Augustana was no small feat as that program continues to pave the way for a unique season never before seen in the D2 era.

Coach Shields was pleased with some areas of the game, but a slow start and some self-inflicted negatives (SIN) were difficult to overcome.

“It’s the first time we’ve really hurt ourselves all season… we were the least penalized team in the country going into this game, now we’re off offense and there’s about 150 left on the field with the penalties. You lose drives and you lose possessions,” Shields said.

The Beavers must focus on returning to their identity and winning formula as they travel to Bemidji, Minnesota to re-enact the “Battle of the Beavers.”

Minot State (4-3, 3-3 NSIC) takes on the other Beavers, that is Bemidji State (4-2, 3-2 NSIC) for a gridiron showdown. Kick-off is scheduled for Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Chet Anderson Stadium.

“They are really talented. You’re doing a good job. The offensive line and offense are doing a good job. Their quarterback distributes it, and he also uses his legs, so that’s always a challenge… there are other issues on defense. They” “They are top 20 in the country in scoring defense. They give up close to 15 points a game, and any time a team can do that, they’re as good as it gets,” Shields said, crediting the Bemidji defense.

Minot State enters the conference with an even record after last weekend’s 20-7 loss to Augustana, but still a game over .500 overall. The Beavers of Bemidji appear ready to play as they lost a 14-13 contest to Northern State in heartbreaking fashion.

As far as the all-time series goes, Minot was busy with the fight bus in the Bemidji encounter. BSU owns the series with a record of 22-1. Just like most other games this season, this version of the Beavers (Minot) will look to change the score and the outcome. Bemidji has caused all sorts of problems for Minot offensively, having scored 40 or more points since 2017. The last game ended on October 1, 2022 with a 59-14 loss for Minot at Herb Parker Stadium.

The talented Bemidji offense is led by dual-threat quarterback Sam McGath. He threw for 1,310 yards and 14 touchdowns in 6 games. He also rushed for 218 yards on the ground. The kicker, however, is that McGath has seven interceptions this year, which the Minot State defense can take advantage of in the turnover battle.

Jayden Washington leads Bemidji’s rushing attack, carrying the ball 390 yards with two additional touchdowns. While those numbers are solid, he has a favorable yards-per-carry average of 5.4.

The best person to watch out for over the radio is Brice Peters. He is the real No. 1 target for McGath. He accounted for 612 receiving yards and reached the end zone 8 times.

On defense there is a two-headed monster of Marcus Hansen and Stephen Hoffman. Both Bemidji players were spoilsports everywhere. Hansen sacked the quarterback 3.5 times while producing 5.5 TFL. Hoffman is no different, his 3 sacks and 6 TFL make for a dynamic duo on the front seven. Colton Hinrichs handles the tackling task well, with 37 total tackles leading the team.

The ground-and-pound run style continues to be the name of the game for Minot State. It starts with Evan Lovettwho has accumulated 518 yards as a starting running back to this point in the season. For quarterback Carson ChrismanHe had no problem reaching 300 yards rushing this year. He added another touchdown to bring his total to 7. For all combinations of talents in the skill position, this collective group achieves another 1st Rank for rushing yards and rushing yards per game in the Northern Sun Conference.

The No. 5 goal defense in the NSIC doesn’t see too many significant changes on the front seven. Julian Kameristy is the leader in both statistical categories with 5.5 TFL and 2.5 sacks. Kevin Speedwho was a recent guest on the “Inside the Dam” podcast, leads Minot State with 35 tackles.

Minot State and Coach Shields aren’t worried about who’s standing in their way, even if Bemidji is hungry to bounce back after a tough loss on their part.

“Our focus must be on ourselves. We can’t be punished seven or eight times, that’s what we have to do. We have to maintain our stance. We have to have our eyes where they need to be. We need to know what to do when the ball is snapped and then be able to execute.”

It’s about taking care of things internally as Minot State takes on the other Beavers in the conference and looks for another result in the win column.

Tyrese Maxey wins NBA Cares Bob Lanier Community Assist Award

Tyrese Maxey wins NBA Cares Bob Lanier Community Assist Award

Former Kentucky Wildcats star Tyrese Maxey has won the NBA Cares Bob Lanier Community Assist Award for the second time.

The NBA gave him this award, recognizing his efforts to support youth in his hometown and in Philadelphia, where he plays. Maxey, a standout guard from Kentucky, also won the award in 2022.

“It is a great honor to receive the NBA Cares Community Assist Award for the offseason. I am grateful to be able to make a difference in the lives of youth in the Philadelphia and Dallas area. I believe in the power of education and sport to transform lives and I am committed to supporting our youth in achieving their dreams. “Thank you to the NBA for this recognition and to everyone who has supported the Tyrese Maxey Foundation along the way,” Maxey said in the 76ers’ press release.

Maxey has provided ample financial support, but he has also dedicated his time to the community by hosting a free basketball camp and providing scholarships during the Tyrese Maxey Foundation’s Friends and Family Weekend in Philadelphia.

Having recently landed a major contract with the 76ers, Maxey is clearly giving back to his community and continues to develop into one of the best guards in the NBA.

The best vampire movie you’ve ever seen

The best vampire movie you’ve ever seen

The best vampire movie you've ever seenThe best vampire movie you've ever seen

Vampires seem to be making a comeback, don’t they? Between the surprising revelation of Father Paul and the angel in Midnight massthe selling point of a little ballerina vampire girl Abigailwhat should have been a surprise reveal but we’ll get over it, we don’t have time; the upcoming Robert Eggers Nosferatu Adaptation and probably a fourth example of current vampire media, if you take the time to google it, vampires are having a serious resurgence. Whether it is done to create a counterbalance The Twilight Saga Putting it as small as possible in the back window – also known as “The Robert Patinson Method” – or because it reminds people how funny vampires can be, vampire media has a noticeable return to grotesque violence and the old rules of vampire history completed. While we seem to be in a vampire renaissance –Renfield! Number four, we did it – there was a smaller film that slipped through the cracks in the 1900s and made vampires violent and bloodthirsty again: He never died.

Released on Netflix in 2015, the film stars Henry Rollins as the titular “He” who never died. Although the film received consistently positive reviews, it is often overlooked by genre fanatics. Be it because of the lack of release or because there is a silent majority of people who can’t forgive Henry Rollins Steve-O’s “Off Road Tattoo”. Jackass: The Movie is anyone’s guess. However, if it’s the latter, that’s a very niche and narrow hill to die in, and it would be a shame if it prevented you from watching “Heat.” Yes. He’s there too. Anyway, regardless of why the film was underrated, with the Halloween season in full swing and people always looking for new and fun horror movies to watch in October, He Never Died is a funny and bloody outing that twists the vampire story in a different way. In a nihilistic but still funny way, it lays the foundation for what other vampire stories would later flesh out, and in its own way takes up themes that were present in the films before it were established. The film does all of this while being highlighted by Rollins’ perfectly (and hilariously) directed lead role.

Rollins plays Jack, a man who mostly keeps to himself and whose time is divided between sleeping, going to the local restaurant, meeting his usual waitress Cara (Kate Greenhouse), and playing bingo. He also buys blood from a hospital intern named Jeremy (Booboo Stewart) as he is secretly an immortal being who needs to drink blood and eat meat, but he tries to stay sober and not hurt anyone. However, as soon as his previously unknown adult daughter Andrea (Jordan Todosey) appears on the scene, a group of mysterious gangsters also appear who repeatedly invade his life and try to maim or kill him. What they don’t know is that this is more of a nuisance to Jack than a threat.

What makes Vampires a fun movie monster is the fact that the stories and characters can range from funny to self-referential using the rules that pop culture has established What we do in the shadowsto straight-up monsters like in From dusk till dawn, too complex and tragic Bram Stoker’s Dracula. He Never Died plays it with a more grounded and realistic approach, more in tune with Almost dark or Martin. The film doesn’t stick too closely to the vampire mythos – Jack can go into sunlight, he can turn into nothing, and he can also enter churches. The only vampire traits he has are the desire to drink blood and eat humans – which is treated as an addiction rather than a survival necessity, but more on that later – and he can’t die. No matter the injury, Jack heals everything.

What’s most fun about the film’s premise is that the character has no social grace whatsoever because Jack can’t die and has lived for thousands of years – one of the best exchanges in the film is when he reveals what his real name is doesn’t care about anything because nothing matters. There’s something strangely satisfying about how quickly he rationalizes conversations so that they end as quickly as possible. “Near Dark” is probably the best comparison to this as Jack walks around with the attitude that he is bored and done with life as he has nothing to live for and nothing to do. In one scene he lists every job he’s ever had, and the list is so long that you think he’s done everything someone like him can do and gone unnoticed. He has achieved so much in his life, but he still has nothing to show for it as everything is seen as a distraction to keep him busy.

While that sounds like it would make the movie boring, it’s actually funnier. Jack’s complete indifference to the well-being of everyone and everything around him gives the film a dry sense of humor, and a lot of that is thanks to Rollins’ performance. Every word out of his mouth has the energy of someone who hates his job but can’t seem to get fired no matter how hard he tries – the job in this metaphor is life, in case that wasn’t clear, and there is one Moment where it could be that he accidentally killed someone he knows and he just shrugs it off and you think it won’t keep him awake.

The film is like a window into his life, as you get the feeling that the events that unfold are just slightly out of the ordinary, and that in the end Jack doesn’t grow or learn anything. There’s never a moment where he thinks he’s finally going to die, but he cathartically realizes he finally has something worth living for. None of that. He overcomes the final hurdle in the story, and then the film is not over, but rather over. In another film this would feel like sloppy writing, but Jack is so cold and distant that it would feel disingenuous if he found or learned to care for any form of redemption at the end.

This is a vampire movie, so people die horribly, and Jack is solely responsible for everything that happens. It’s never about Eli Roth-level torture porn or unpleasant macabre images; It’s always played funny or darkly comical. There is never a moment where Jack attacks an innocent person; If anything, it’s always someone who tries to kill him first, or it’s one Falling down It’s a situation where it’s someone we as an audience don’t already like and it forces us to tune them out. One of the funniest moments in the movie is when he relapses and tries to set people up just to have an excuse to stalk strangers by intentionally throwing money on the ground or bumping into people, but everyone is always super friendly and polite. That’s why he can’t bring himself to do it, which only irritates him even more.

It’s already been mentioned that Jack’s vampiric desire to eat people is treated more like an addiction than a means of survival. If you’re a Henry Rollins fan, you know full well that him playing an addict is about as ironic as CM Punk playing a hard-core partier Girl on the third floor. If there is a word for reverse typecasting in the dictionary, casting this role would be one of the examples. While the sober aspect is there – it’s not even subtext, as Jack calls it – the film is never weighed down by heavy drama. This is not a monster movie Requiem for a dreamand the film knows this. It just adds another layer to the burden of life Jack is dealing with.

In many ways this almost seems like a precursor to what Mike Flanagan did with the vampires in Midnight Mass, showing the power of addiction and how a vampire’s blood-sucking can be comparable to drugs or alcohol, albeit in a heightened, fantastic way. While this undertone flows into the many themes Midnight masswhen it comes to that He never diedit’s more like an added layer to Jack’s personality. The film doesn’t condemn him for backsliding and killing people. It knows that when you watch one of these films, that’s what you want to see. When he gets around to eating body parts, it’s so casual that it borders on comedy. At some point he rips out a dead man’s throat, Street house style, and then he just eats it because… well, let’s face it, the other person has no use for it anymore and throwing it away would just add to the landfill.

While vampire films are a subgenre of horror that is already filled to the brim with many genuinely entertaining entries with varying tones –The Lost Boys wasn’t mentioned here, but this is one of the most infectious and entertaining films ever made – He Never Died is another solid film that makes for a fun Halloween viewing. It’s gory without being gratuitous, funny without being silly, and has just enough dark touches to fit the season without being a straight horror film. It takes themes from other vampire films about how stressful it would be to be able to live forever, but it has the confidence not to get lost in the drama and just shows the humor in the boredom of what the day is . today would be like that. Most of these were paeans to Henry Rollins’ performance, but that’s what makes the film. He creates what could have been a established character and breathes additional life into Jack…which is ironic considering all he wants to do is die.

Eagle Watch Estates residents continue to push for better living conditions

Eagle Watch Estates residents continue to push for better living conditions

MISSOULA – Missoula’s Eagle Watch Estates are being promoted as accessible housing for the elderly or those with disabilities.

However, tenants say that living conditions and communication with their property management company are substandard. They add that they will continue to apply pressure until all maintenance issues are resolved.

Eagle Watch resident Paul Hughes told MTN: “It’s just more helpful for all of us to stand up for ourselves.”

Emily Brown/MTN News

Paul Hughes is concerned about the living conditions in his home in Eagle Watch Estates.

Since May, low-income apartment renters have been speaking out and want their property management group – Accessible Spaces Incorporated (ASI) – to be more responsive to their needs.

Hughes shared that bathroom fans don’t work – persistent steam sets off fire alarms and moisture leads to mold.

“The main fans don’t work in my room and they don’t work for a lot of people in the building either.” He continued: “Now, [there is] Some mold on my ceiling in the bathroom. It could spread and potentially make me sick.
A representative from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) conducted interviews in June and explored the condition of the property.

An important question from residents was a property manager. Alessandro Mitchell of the Missoula Tenants Union said one has been hired and is working.

“There are some things that have been done, but there are some deeper things that still need to be addressed,” Mitchell explained.

Alessandro Mitchell

Emily Brown/MTN News

Alessandro Mitchell believes working with HUD has helped Eagle Watch residents.

Residents say there is still some work to be done, including replacing floodlights, repairing windows and more. That’s why they’re hosting a phoneathon, calling and emailing ASI, based in Minnesota.

Residents noted that the larger community can also get involved by making a phone call.

Mitchell continued: “The gap is too big. The residents here would like management to attend our meetings.”

“I just wish they would talk to us more and ask us more questions about what exactly we want to do,” Hughes added.

MTN reached out to ASI to see how often they have direct contact with Eagle Watch residents, but ASI did not respond as of October 18, 2024.

31 cool beauty products from Amazon’s “Trend Shop”.

Check out a TikTok of Elf’s tube mascara in action.

I’m no newbie to the tube mascara world and have willingly spent $26 on Blinc’s famous OG blend every time it needed replacing. I liked it not even half so much for the length but for the fact that tube mascara like this really never smudges, but all I can say is – regardless of the price Elf Tubing’s mascara formula is head and shoulders above any other I’ve tried. It gives me much more length and volume than other brands, applies much easier, stays in place ALL day and never smudges. What I like best, however, is how gentle and easy it is to remove with soap and water. In the past, other mascara removals have felt rough on my lashes, but this comes off so quickly that I’m like, ??? I was at all carry Mascara a minute ago?? Anyway, I’m hesitant to write this review at all because I really want to get control of it before it sells out, but the world needed to know. I’m a big fan of the brown shade (which I’m wearing above!) but it also comes in black and soft black.

Price: $7 (available in three shades)

Sixth Kingston Design Showhouse unveiled

Sixth Kingston Design Showhouse unveiled

Design enthusiasts looking to explore the Hudson Valley can find some interior design inspiration at the sixth annual Kingston Design Showhouse. Eleven designers took on the rooms of an early 19th-century home, transforming empty spaces into eclectic interiors with ornate accents.

The fundraiser opened to the public last week and runs until October 27th. It is organized by Kingston Design Connection, a network for regional creatives founded by designer Maryline Damour of Damour Drake. This year’s Showhouse is the fifth for the organization. Previous versions have included a quaint mansion, a modest brick home and a 20th-century Queen Anne.

Participating designers this year include Auz Design Studio, Casolare, Damour Drake, Krishan Fitzpatrick, Hendley & Co., KD Reid, NJA Interiors, Poppy Interiors, Studio Hinterland, Shana Luther Interiors and Zimmer Gardens. While the interiors now shine with color and texture, the garden has not been neglected. New planting beds wind gracefully in front of the house, and seating areas and sculptures are scattered throughout the front and back yards.

Visitors this year will have to drive outside of Kingston to Stone Ridge to find accommodation. Located approximately 13 miles southwest of Kingston, the Ulster County hamlet has a significant National Register-listed historic district. The Main Street Historic District includes the selected property at 3714 Main Street. The nomination gives an estimated construction date for the five-bay wide center hall house in the 1840s.

This year’s edition continues the organization’s focus on housing and affordability through a partnership with the Ulster County Habitat for Humanity. This spring, a newly constructed Habitat home was used for a second annual Habitat home focused on using goods from the Habitat ReStore and raising awareness and funds for the construction of Habitat homes. The two organizations also launched a home improvement series with speakers on topics ranging from gardening to heating and cooling your home.

AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), and the Texas National Guard continue to work together to secure the border; Stop drug, gun and human smuggling into Texas. and prevent, detect and disrupt transnational criminal activity between ports of entry.

Since Operation Lone Star began, the multi-agency effort has resulted in more than 523,100 illegal immigrant apprehensions and more than 47,800 felony arrests and more than 41,300 felony charges. In the fight against the fentanyl crisis, Texas law enforcement has seized over 551 million lethal doses of fentanyl – enough to kill every man, woman and child in the United States and Mexico combined in this border operation.

Thanks to our historic border security mission, Texas has reduced illegal border crossings into the state by over 86%. Fewer illegal border crossings into Texas mean fewer migrants needing to be transported to sanctuary cities. Since the Texas transportation program began, the state has transported:
