Oklahoma State comes into this matchup with a 3-1 record and the team is coming off a tough 22-19 loss to No. 12 Utah. Notably, the Cowboys were down 22-3 midway through the fourth quarter. Oklahoma State tried to mount an incredible comeback in the final six minutes, but they ran out of time.

The Cowboys are looking to bounce back with a win this morning, which will require a great performance from their starting quarterback Alan Bowman. He has thrown for 1,173 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, but also threw four interceptions.

Kansas State also comes into this matchup with a 3-1 record and the team is coming off a 38-9 loss to BYU. The Wildcats struggled to find success offensively as they trailed 31-9 early in the fourth quarter. What’s notable is that Kansas State’s offense had three turnovers, including two interceptions. The team’s starting quarterback, Avery Johnson, will be looking to bounce back this morning as he completed less than 54% of his passes against BYU.

Is Ranbir Kapoor joining the Dhoom 4 team? Let’s revisit the iconic villains of the franchise

The first Dhoom film was released in 2004. (Image credit: X)

John Abraham, Hritik Roshan and Aamir Khan played the roles of antagonists in the previous Dhoom films.

Ranbir Kapoor is said to be a part of the Dhoom franchise as the actor has reportedly been signed for the upcoming installment of the film. The news, which coincides with Ranbir’s 42nd birthday today, has caused excitement among Bollywood fans. According to a report by Pinkvilla, the actor has been roped in for the much-awaited fourth installment of the Dhoom film series. The upcoming film under YRF banner is reportedly in the pre-production stage and will be helmed by Aditya Chopra.

As Ranbir gears up to play the villain in Dhoom 4, here is a look at the other iconic antagonists of the popular Yash Raj Films franchise.

John Abraham, Dhoom (2004)

The first film in the Dhoom series was released 20 years ago. While Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra played good cops ACP Jay Dixit and Ali, John Abraham set the archetype for the franchise’s unique villains.

He led a motorcycle robber gang that committed a series of thefts across Mumbai.

The actor even received a nomination at the 50th Filmfare Awards for the Best Villain award. John won the Best Villain awards at the 6th IIFA Awards and Zee Cine Awards

Hrithik Roshan, Dhoom 2 (2006)

Hrithik Roshan continued where John left. Hrithik’s impeccable acting and stunts in Dhoom 2 are still fresh in the minds of fans. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra reprized their roles in the 2006 film. Hrithik portrayed Aryan Singhania, also known as Mr. A, who stole valuable artifacts from various locations. Hrithik teamed up with Aishwarya Rai’s character Sunheri in all the robberies.

Aamir Khan, Dhoom 3 (2013)

In this 2013 film, Aamir played the dual roles of Sahir Khan and Samar Khan, who continued the chase game with Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra’s characters. Dhoom 3 has a different plot than the other two films as Aamir’s character robs branches of the Western Bank of Chicago for revenge.

Ranbir Kapoor, Dhoom 4

According to a Pinkvilla report, Aditya Chopra is considering rebooting the story for a modern audience. According to the report, none of the old actors will reprise their roles in the upcoming Dhoom film.

“The talks with Ranbir have been going on for a long time. Hearing the basic idea, he had always shown interest in being a part of Dhoom 4 and has finally been confirmed to lead the series. Adi Chopra feels that RK is the ideal choice to carry forward the Dhoom legacy,” a source close to the development told the portal.

Video shows a burning Russian convoy as Kiev thwarts a “battalion-sized” attack

Video shows a burning Russian convoy as Kiev thwarts a “battalion-sized” attack

Russian military vehicles burst into flames after an attack by Kiev soldiers, according to the Ukrainian military, which released video footage of the alleged battle.

The Ukrainian Air Force posted on Facebook that its soldiers managed to repel a 50-man column of Russian equipment. Newsweek has not yet verified the details of the footage and has emailed the Russian Defense Ministry for comment.

The independent U.S.-based think tank Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said Friday that Ukrainian forces repelled “an intensified battalion-sized Russian mechanized attack toward Kupiansk,” the first mechanized attack along the line since last winter .

A two-minute video showed aerial footage of military vehicles burning in an open field and smoke billowing into the sky.

In the post accompanying the clip, the Ukrainian military said that Russian forces attempted to storm the positions of Ukraine’s 77th Air Mobile Brigade and the National Guard in two separate operations.

“However, even with such strong forces, the enemy units were unsuccessful,” the post said, adding that Ukraine’s paratroopers and National Guardsmen managed to “defeat the enemy and push them back to their starting positions.”

The post added that two tanks, two armored personnel carriers and an infantry fighting vehicle were destroyed in the Russian attack, “and those that remained managed to escape in panic.”

“The enemy column that attacked the positions of the soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine also suffered a setback,” the post said, according to a translation.

The ISW said footage of damaged Russian armored vehicles crowded together suggested Moscow forces attacked in dense columns. They blocked when the Ukrainian fire units began to strike, which “commonly occurs in failed Russian mechanized attacks.”

The Washington, DC-based think tank also provided additional details about the site. It said Ukrainian forces were operating near the village of Pishchane, southeast of Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast, after Russian forces attacked directly on the Oskil River, where Moscow is trying to make gains.

Ukrainian military sources said Russian forces had been pushed back to their starting positions near Pishchane, while the ISW said geolocated footage suggested Moscow forces had made no progress during the attack.

Ukrainian officials said on Saturday that Russian forces launched an attack on a hospital in the northeastern city of Sumy, killing nine people and wounding 12.

A first attack hit the hospital, while a second attack occurred as rescuers and police arrived to carry patients to safety in what Russia called a “double-tap” attack, said Ihor Klymenko, Ukraine’s interior minister.

My Costco trips take 10 minutes; What I buy and how I shop quickly

My Costco trips take 10 minutes; What I buy and how I shop quickly

  • I do weekly 10-minute Costco runs for high-protein, nutritious items for my family of four.
  • Just Bare’s breaded chicken breasts are a great Chick-Fil-A dupe.
  • My kids’ favorite is Polly-O strip cheese, which is also a refined source of protein.

My husband and I have always been Costco shoppers, but after we had our two daughters, our once-a-month Costco runs turned into once-weekly trips.

With a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old who can empty a strawberry container in no time, we learned that Costco was our best option for getting our groceries within a reasonable budget.

Costco also met two of our most important nutritional needs: protein-rich products for my husband and I and dye-free, nutritious products for the kids.

After years of shopping at retailers every week, I have learned which products are ideal for our lifestyle. If I know exactly what I need, I can get in and out of Costco in just 10 minutes.

Here are the 11 staples I always bring with me.

Jannik Sinner reacts as WADA confirms appeal in the middle of his China Open match | Tennis | sport

Jannik Sinner reacts as WADA confirms appeal in the middle of his China Open match | Tennis | sport

Jannik Sinner said he was “very disappointed” that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) had appealed against him to avoid a ban for his failed doping test. The news broke during the Italian’s round of 16 win against Roman Safiullin, where he won for the second time in a row after coming from a set down.

But shortly after his 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 win, the top seed came under pressure over the developments and WADA said it wanted a ban of between one and two years for the 23-year-old.

And Sinner did not hide his displeasure, pointing out that the International Tennis Integrity Unit had already released him from any responsibility for his test result

“Well, we can’t control everything,” he said when asked about the timing of the announcement. “Of course I am very disappointed and, to be honest, surprised by this appeal because we had three hearings. All three hearings were very positive for me.”

“You know, I wasn’t expecting that. I knew a few days ago that they were going to appeal, that today it becomes official. But yes, it’s a surprise. We always talk about the same thing.”

The reigning Australian Open and US Open champion also suggested that WADA was simply trying to act out of a sense of duty, adding: “Maybe they just want to make sure everything is in the right position.”

A crisp five days in the race for the Tory leadership, writes the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg

A crisp five days in the race for the Tory leadership, writes the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg

Jenrick has impressed many Conservatives with a well-organized campaign (I heard you cry, he certainly didn’t plan it before the election), and it is agreed that he has outperformed the others in this regard.

Yet one colleague describes him as an “affable, boring Midlands bank manager”, while another jokes: “If the country had to draw a Tory they would draw him, that’s a problem for our stereotype.”

Meanwhile, a former cabinet minister says: “You can see the appeal of Kemi” – and another insists that “she has stage presence”. Badenoch has attracted some supporters with unusual fervor – one donor told me she had gained “some evangelical followers” but ran a “subpar campaign”.

And another of her former government colleagues says: “She could start a fight in an empty room” – Plain language is one thing, but politics is not just an attack game.

Then what about Cleverly? According to a senior source, the former interior minister and ex-foreign minister has “the best chance of doing what needs to be done to unite right and left.” For many he is considered a reliable media artist and a “safe contact person”.

Still others sitting next to him at the Cabinet table said, “He’s a bit empty,” not knowing what he would really offer for the job. Another’s mockery is simply: “Criticism of Cleverly always focuses on whether he really is that clever.”

Then there is virtuehat – “Now or later he is the best man you can have, we can only win from the middle,” says another former minister. The source points to polls that suggest he would have broader appeal.

But even those who sympathize with his cause fear he will not impress in the election campaign. One of his supporters says: “He hasn’t put much energy into the campaign…he’s the underdog and unless he achieves a spectacular success and turns out the lights at the conference, he won’t make it.”

This means you can watch thousands of films for free with your library card

This means you can watch thousands of films for free with your library card

When I was studying at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I decided to combine part of my English studies with a focus on film. This decision opened me up to the wonderful world of film studies and reinforced my already ardent love of film, having considered myself a film lover throughout my teenage years.

The decision also meant that I screened four to seven films every week to support my studies. The only platform that saved me during my hectic semester of screenings was the streaming service Kanopy.

As a student, my university email account gave me free access to the platform and its catalog of over 30,000 films. The best part is that I didn’t have to give up Kanopy after I graduated; Thanks to my public library card, I still stream their extensive offerings for free. Below I’ll show you how to sign up for Kanopy – and why you should.

Do you want to live a long life? Here are three fair examples to follow | Opinion

Do you want to live a long life? Here are three fair examples to follow | Opinion

By Bob Brody

Three special people played a big role in my childhood. This was in the 1950s and 1960s in my hometown of Fair Lawn. As luck would have it, they all recently returned to my life and brought a message worth remembering – especially today as we celebrate National Good Neighbor Day.

Jeanette Kearns was my kindergarten teacher at Radburn Elementary School. Under her guidance, I developed my talent for getting into trouble with authorities. My specialty was not paying attention to class and instead clowning around.

This jester behavior largely resulted in me making silly faces at my schoolmates during class. One day Mrs. Kearns had enough. She made me stand alone outside the building for an hour. Believe me, I had it done, and kudos to her for setting me straight.

Marvin Wisch was our family doctor. He routinely performed a medical service that today seems archaic, if not apocryphal, namely home visits for patients. Dr. Wisch visited me at home when I was in bed with a fever, measles or mumps. He strode into my room, black leather doctor’s bag in hand, to diagnose, prescribe treatment, and reassure my worried mother with gentle warmth that I was indeed alive.

Simon Glustrom was a rabbi at the Fair Lawn Jewish Center. I attended Hebrew school there, mostly against my will and except for the times when I played hooker. I found it difficult to prepare for my bar mitzvah, especially reciting my haftorah, the Torah passage designated for the occasion.

But Rabbi Glustrom helped me get through this ordeal, always with a smile that radiated divine grace. He presided over the momentous ceremony on a Saturday morning in 1965. In this way, he attempted to marry me to manhood at the age of 13, a milestone that, however, took me at least another 20 years to achieve.

Teacher, doctor and rabbi all had unique successes.

Ms. Kearns taught at my elementary school for 30 years. Former students described her to me as always friendly and compassionate. She and her husband had a son and two grandchildren. After her retirement, she volunteered for decades at Hackensack University Medical Center. She is also the author of a children’s book with the whimsical title My Grandmother Has a Chandelier.

Rabbi Glustrom took the pulpit in our school to lead his congregation for 41 years. By all accounts he was deeply loved. He learned the names of all members of his flock and made a point of going into the homes of Jewish families who had just moved to the city to offer them words of welcome. He and his wife had three daughters, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is the author of seven books on Judaism, including – the ironic title is a nod to his life as a rabbi – “I Would Do It Again – Maybe.”

Dr. Wisch practiced general medicine for 68 years, almost until his last breath. He took care of my family for more than 20 years. He and his wife had five children, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The State of New Jersey, the Knights of Pythias and other organizations honored him for his commitment to patients and the community.

“My father never missed a moment,” recalls his son Jeffrey Wisch, a recently retired oncologist. “He stayed at the top of his game until the end. He delivered babies, repaired broken bones, and performed tonsillectomies and even eye surgeries. He saved more than a few lives. It was his calling to become a doctor. His patients were his extended family. Caring for his patients kept him alive.”

But that’s what appeals to me most now. As I recently learned, Dr. Wisch lived to be 96 years old, Rabbi Glustrom lived to be 99 years old and Mrs. Kearns lived to an astounding 104 years.

Former Fair Lawn Mayor John Cosgrove, a former kindergarten student of hers, presented Ms. Kearns with a proclamation declaring Jeanette Kearns Day in the city on the occasion of her 100th birthday.

“If you want to live a long life,” said pioneer scientist Hans Selye, “focus on making contributions.”

Research shows that a sense of purpose dramatically increases the likelihood of living longer. According to a 2019 study, people with the most determination had a 15.2% lower risk of death than those with the least determination.

How fitting, then, that these three professionals, alternately an educator, a physician, and a member of the clergy—each of whom taught me, kept me healthy, and guided me spiritually—should serve in our city, generation after generation, changing the equation for our community .

The lessons to be learned from such longevity are clear. Every now and then, contrary to popular belief, good deeds actually go unpunished. Rather, if you do good, you will do well. The righteous will be truly and duly rewarded.

Bob Brody, a consultant and essayist, grew up in Fair Lawn and now lives in Italy. He is the author of the memoir Playing Catch with Strangers: A Family Guy (Reluctantly) Comes of Age.
