Texas A&M vs. Missouri odds: Early point spreads released, How to Watch

Texas A&M vs. Missouri odds: Early point spreads released, How to Watch

The Texas A&M Aggies And Missouri Tigers are preparing for an exciting SEC conference duel in Week 6.

Ahead of the game, DraftKings Sportsbook released the early point spread for the game. Texas A&M will enter Kyle Field with a 1.5 point lead. The game total was set at 47.5 points.

When the first whistle blows, it will be an exciting game for both teams. Missouri enters the game at 4-0, while Texas A&M is 4-1 so far this season. Both Eli Drinkwitz And Mike Elko will be looking for a win to continue their program’s momentum.

Of course, in the end only one team can win. It will be a tremendous contest and one of the can’t-miss showdowns in Week 6, both within the SEC and across college football.

Here’s how to watch Texas A&M vs. Missouri

Time: Saturday, October 5th | Noon ET
Channel: ABC, FuboTV (streaming)
Location: Kyle Field – College Station, Texas

Additionally, Missouri is off to a 4-0 start for the second straight season for the first time since joining the SEC. The Tigers are ranked No. 11 in the country and according to ESPN, they returned 73% of their performance from last year, in which they won 11 games while recording their first-ever New Year’s Six bowl victory.

Head coach Eli Drinkwitz, the 2023 SEC Coach of the Year, joined The Paul Finebaum Show during the team’s bye week where he discussed his program’s recent breakthrough.

“Well, I think we’re accomplishing what we always dreamed of,” Drinkwitz said. “There is still a lot of work ahead of us. But I think it’s time to say, “Hey, we can accomplish what we thought we could accomplish by going to school here,” whether that was the dream we sold on [wide receiver] Luther Burden or the vision that I had when we took this job or the vision that I conveyed to the staff and administration about investing in us and the reasons for it.

“I think it’s a proud moment for the state of Missouri. There’s great football at the college level, and then there’s great football at the NFL level. So I think the 6.5 million people of the state of Missouri can all get behind us and the Chiefs now. And that’s a great thing.”

Unfortunately, it’s easy to see why Eli Drinkwitz and the Tigers have become so exciting for the entire state of Missouri. Time will tell how long they can sustain their run, but it’s clear the program has great confidence going forward.

All Blacks v Australia: Will Jordan gets Scott Robertson’s stamp of approval as first-choice defender

All Blacks v Australia: Will Jordan gets Scott Robertson’s stamp of approval as first-choice defender

First he missed the 2-0 series win against England and the win over Fiji in San Diego. When he finally returned, he was placed on the wing rather than his preferred spot at the back.

Only the need for change following the loss to South Africa in Johannesburg convinced Robertson to roll the dice in Cape Town, having mostly relied on Beauden Barrett at full-back.

And while that move didn’t stop the All Blacks from losing the Freedom Cup, Barrett’s illness in Sydney gave Jordan another chance – which he was happy to seize with both hands.

When the All Blacks ended their winning streak in the capital in Wellington, Jordan was once again on top. Since 2019, the All Blacks’ full-back spot has shifted from the traditional number 15 role to a secondary playmaker in support of the front five.

Sir Steve Hansen’s system, which saw Barrett move to full-back to accommodate Richie Mo’unga, was largely continued by Ian Foster after Jordie Barrett was deemed best suited in midfield.

But in Wellington, Jordan was a reminder of what a full-back who wants to run first can do. Aside from one attempt, Jordan ran 162 yards with the ball in hand. The next best score of any player on either side was 90 from Caleb Clarke.

And even if his striking game is significantly worse compared to a Barrett or McKenzie, he is probably the All Blacks’ deadliest asset with the ball in his hand.

“He created a lot,” Robertson said. “When he gets the ball in his hands, his angle changes, his stride, he had a lot of players [beaten] with the way he moved his feet.

Will Jordan has had a strong few weeks at full-back for the All Blacks. Photo / Getty Images

“I’m really happy for Will. He owned it and took advantage of his opportunities.”

In this day and age, Jordan won’t have a complete stranglehold on the full-back position as long as European teams have an aerial burst game that the All Blacks need to keep up with.

But as opponents look to beat the All Blacks at their own game, Jordan will undoubtedly be the man Robertson trusts most.

Playing at full-back will also open up another opportunity for Jordan, giving him the chance to become the All Blacks’ top scorer, if not all Test rugby scorers.

His result against the Wallabies in Wellington increased Jordan’s record to 35 tries in 37 Tests, simplified to one try every 0.95 games.

Doug Howlett holds the record for most tries for the All Blacks (49 in 62 Tests). And while Jordan’s rate of averaging one try per Test has fallen under Ian Foster, he has more than enough time on his side to overtake not only Howlett but also Japan’s Daisuke Ohata (69 in 58 Tests).

“He has a good success rate,” said captain Scott Barrett. “I guess there’s still a long way to go.

“He knows where the line is,” Robertson joked.

‘SNL’ Unveils Jim Gaffigan as Tim Walz, Andy Samberg as Doug Emhoff, Dana Carvey as Joe Biden in Cold Open Starring Maya Rudolph’s Kamala Harris

‘SNL’ Unveils Jim Gaffigan as Tim Walz, Andy Samberg as Doug Emhoff, Dana Carvey as Joe Biden in Cold Open Starring Maya Rudolph’s Kamala Harris

The question of who would play Tim Walz and Doug Emhoff on “Saturday Night Live” was immediately answered Saturday night as the sketch comedy series kicked off its 50th season.

Jim Gaffigan joined Maya Rudolph in the season premiere’s cold open as the affable governor of Minnesota and vice president of Harris, while Andy Samberg appeared as the second gentleman. Dana Carvey also debuted his Joe Biden impression on “SNL.”

More of diversity

“SNL” actor James Austin Johnson returned as Donald Trump and Bowen Yang stepped in as his running mate JD Vance. Andrew Dismukes played journalist David Muir and joked that the ABC News debate was “biased against the Democrats, who…well.”

In the sketch, Rudolph brought back America’s “Fun Aunt,” also known as “Funt.” “The funt has been restarted,” said Rudolph. “2 Funt, 2 Furious.” As Walz, Gaffigan quipped, “There’s a saying in Minnesota: ‘Mind your damn business.’ There is also another saying in Minnesota: “My nuts are frozen to the park bench.”

As Emhoff, Samberg considered himself a “second gentleman” and joked about the White House’s Christmas decorations: “The theme is Hanukkah.”

Playing a stuttering, confused Biden, Carvey quipped, “A lot of people forget I’m president. Even me!” After Rudolph thanked “J’Biden” for “putting the country first and handing over the reins.” Carvey said, “I didn’t want that!” They made me.”

Shortly after Harris announced Walz as her running mate, people began dream casting the role on “SNL.” While Gaffigan and Steve Martin were two of the most repeated names, Martin said in an interview that “SNL” boss Lorne Michaels called him with an offer to play Walz on the show. Martin declined: “I said, ‘Lorne, I’m not an impressionist. “You need someone who can really nail the guy. “I was chosen because I have gray hair and glasses.”

Emhoff was previously portrayed by Martin Short in a 2021 Passover-themed sketch. In an August 2024 Esquire article, Emhoff said that “SNL” needed a “good Doug character” in the run-up to the election. “I think of Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Chris Hemsworth. “You know, people who look just like me,” he joked.

Samberg was a cast member on “SNL” from 2005 to 2012, but has not appeared on the show since 2018. (He moderated only once after his term, in 2014.)

Rudolph’s return to “Saturday Night Live” as Vice President Harris was announced in July, just a week after she announced her candidacy for the presidency after Joe Biden dropped out of the race. Rudolph first played Harris on “SNL” in December 2019, winning the Emmy for guest actress in a comedy series despite only having a few lines in a presidential debate skit. She returned during the 2020 election cycle to play Harris opposite Jim Carrey’s Biden.

Rudolph was a main cast member on “SNL” from 2000 to 2007 and played Harris again when she hosted the series in March 2021, which earned her another Emmy for Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. (She was nominated again for her final guest appearance as a presenter on May 11, 2024.)

Rudolph explained how she created her version of Harris within her diversity Cover story in September. “I said, ‘When I see her, I see she’s having fun,'” she said. “And so the fictional Kamala we created took advantage of her fun. And then [‘SNL’ producer] Steve Higgins said to me that his wife called her a “funny aunt,” and we laughed at how that sounded like “funny.” We just moved on from there. That was the moment when you realized, ‘Oh, now I know how to do this.'”

“Saturday Night Live” kicked off its 50th season on September 28th with host Jean Smart and musical guest Jelly Roll. The legendary sketch comedy series celebrates its big anniversary with a live primetime special on February 16th. The series airs at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC and streams on Peacock.

Matt Novak Murder: Family Still Seeks Justice for Murder After 2008 Puerto Rican Day Parade

Matt Novak Murder: Family Still Seeks Justice for Murder After 2008 Puerto Rican Day Parade

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A large reward is still being offered in hopes that someone will come forward with information about a murder following the Puerto Rican Day Parade in 2008.

Matt Novak Sr. says 16 years is long enough. It’s time to bring his son’s murderers to justice.

“I can’t believe these guys are still running through the streets. I have to tell you, I get angrier and angrier every time this time of year,” he said.

On Sunday, September 28, 2008, 24-year-old Matthew Novak and two friends were on their way home from Philadelphia’s annual Puerto Rican Day Parade when their car broke down at 6th and Green Streets in Northern Liberties.

Surveillance video shows a blue Chevy Impala with three men pulling up to help.

Novak got in the car with them and they drove to 13th and Fairmount. When Novak got out of the car, they shot him in the leg. He later died in hospital.

The blue Chevy had New Jersey tags, but the license plate is difficult to read.

“I would just want someone to come forward,” Novak said.

The Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $45,000 reward for the arrest and information of the person responsible. All you have to do is call 215-546-TIPS (8477). All calls remain anonymous.

Novak says the sudden loss of his son still haunts him.

“We were very close. We were friends,” he said. “I miss that a lot. I really do.”

Ashton Jeanty, the top RB in the 2025 NFL Draft, goes into beast mode for the 64-yard touchdown

Ashton Jeanty, the top RB in the 2025 NFL Draft, goes into beast mode for the 64-yard touchdown

Ashton Jeanty wasted no time in making his presence felt in Week 5. The running back from Boise State once again proved that he is the best player at his position in the 2025 NFL Draft with a breathtaking rushing touchdown.

Look at the moves Jeanty is making on Washington State’s defense. The dynamic running back broke several tackles en route to a brilliant 64-yard touchdown score.

Jeanty entered Saturday night’s game as the starting running back and was taken in the draft the next April. There is a lot of speculation that he could be the only player selected in Round 1 when the 2025 draft takes place.

Before Week 5, Jeanty had already rushed for 586 yards and nine touchdowns on just 56 carries. Guys, that’s more than 10 yards per carry! His ability to take every play the distance to six points makes him the dynamic type of runner that will electrify an NFL offense next season.

The smart ring category is hot right now, but is Apple ready to get in on the action on its own?

In the last few months we’ve seen the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Ring and the RingConn Smart Ring, while the Oura Ring (now in its third generation) is the long-standing frontrunner in the race for the best smart rings. Rumors that Apple might be tempted to join the party have been circulating for a few years now, and it appears that Apple is at least somewhat in the planning stages of this form factor.

Here we have compiled everything we know and think we know about the so-called Apple Ring: the leaks and rumors that have surfaced, the predicted price, the possible release date and more. We’ve also added some of the features and specs we’d like to see from the Apple Ring.

Apple Ring: in a nutshell

  • What is that? A supposed smart ring made by Apple

  • When might it appear? TBC, but not before 2025

  • How much could it cost? Expect to pay $399 / £399 / AU$750 or more

Apple Ring: price and release date predictions

Oura Ring 3 on a fingerOura Ring 3 on a finger

Oura Ring 3 on a finger

We don’t have much indication of how much the Apple Ring might cost, but we can take a look at some of the other options on the market. The Samsung Galaxy Ring is available for $399 / £399 and up (Australian pricing is yet to be confirmed), while the Oura Ring 3 is available for $299 / £299 and up (and is not currently available in Australia).

That gives you an idea of the price points we’re talking about. Apple wants to stay competitive, but (as its best iPhones show) it’s not afraid to put a price premium on its products. If we had to guess, we’d say the Apple Ring will be slightly more expensive than its competitors from Samsung and Oura.

Also keep in mind that the best Oura Ring features require a monthly subscription ($5.99 / £5.99 per month). Apple already has the Fitness Plus program that you can sign up for if you own an Apple Watch ($9.99 / £9.99 / AU$14.99 per month). Therefore, it is quite possible that this is also an optional extra for the smart ring.

When it comes to a release date, 2024 and even 2025 seem unlikely given the frequency of leaks and rumors we’ve seen so far; It doesn’t appear that a launch is imminent. We didn’t see an Apple Ring alongside the Apple Watch 10 at the It’s Glowtime event in September 2024, but there’s a chance it could join the Apple Watch 11 in September 2025 if the device shows up as expected.

Apple Ring: Leaks and Rumors

Someone holds the Ringconn Smart Ring against a concrete background.Someone holds the Ringconn Smart Ring against a concrete background.

Someone holds the Ringconn Smart Ring against a concrete background.

The Apple Ring rumors go back a long way, at least to 2020. A patent filed by Apple this year showed that a smart ring would be used to control other devices – with the idea that you could potentially control the channels on your Apple TV could switch by tapping your ring. Of course, patents aren’t always a guarantee of future products, but they show what companies are thinking about and researching.

In 2023, Apple again filed smart ring patents that positioned its potential device as a type of controller for other devices. It seems that each Apple Ring that appears will not only focus on health and fitness, but will also give you new ways to control features on your other Apple devices.

It seems that Apple isn’t limiting itself to finger-mounted wearables either. Another patent from 2023 revealed plans for a type of apple anklet that could be worn around the ankle or around the neck. The success of the Apple Watch is obviously causing Apple to think about how you can track more fitness metrics.

Meanwhile, an industry report out of South Korea suggested in early 2024 that an Apple smart ring was on the way to take on the likes of Samsung and Oura. However, since nothing has emerged in the past few months, either the report’s sources were mistaken or Apple has changed its mind about the future product launch schedule.

We saw another sign that an Apple Ring could be on the way: an Apple survey sent to Apple Watch owners asking how many of them currently wear a smart ring alongside their smartwatch. It may be a bit of a stretch to use this as evidence of an Apple Ring, but it’s not nothing.

And that’s it for the Apple Ring rumors – no hint of pricing, specs, design or anything like that. The lack of details in the rumors suggests that a release could still be some way off, although there was enough excitement at this point to suggest that it is at least being considered.

Apple Ring: What we want to see

Apple Watch Series 10Apple Watch Series 10

Apple Watch Series 10

If an Apple Ring is indeed on the way, what will it look like – and how might it beat existing models? If Apple engineers are reading this, here’s what we want from an Apple Smart Ring.

1. Excellent battery life

Of course, this shows up on every wish list for every device, but decent battery life is a must – especially since the standard Apple Watch won’t last more than a day or two without a charge. In fact, that could be a major selling point for the Apple Ring: continue to track your steps and other activities while your Apple Watch is charging.

2. Premium sleep tracking

Speaking of charging the Apple Watch, many users charge their watch overnight. This means that the smartwatch often cannot be used for sleep tracking, and we hope the Apple Ring can do this very well. In addition, due to its smaller size and lighter weight, a smart ring is better suited for tracking movements while you sleep.

3. Lots of software features without a subscription

We’ve already mentioned Apple Fitness Plus, but we hope that many of the features of an Apple Ring are available without a subscription – like with the Apple Watch. And for those who want additional features like fitness videos, workout plan customizations, in-session metrics, and more, there could be an additional subscription option.

4. A superior design

There are really only so many ways to design a smart ring, but we hope Apple gives the Apple Ring the same aesthetic flavor as shown on the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. We’re thinking about a super slim and super light form factor, a choice of different colors and a smart ring that is one of the most comfortable on the market.

5. Seamless integration of the Apple ecosystem

Apple usually does this perfectly, with iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple Watches constantly getting new integrations and connections – so we’re hoping this extends to Apple Ring too. It’s unlikely that Apple wants the Smart Ring to replace the Apple Watch, and in fact it could be a useful screen for it (remember, Oura also has an Apple Watch app).

Report: 49ers’ Deebo Samuel plans to play against Patriots

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel was originally expected to miss two games with a calf strain. However, after sitting out just one game, he returned to practice this week and was listed as questionable for this weekend’s game against the New England Patriots.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Samuel plans to report for the Week 4 game.

The 49ers, coming off two straight losses, will look to improve their 1-2 record heading into Sunday’s game at Levi’s Stadium.

Samuel spoke to reporters this week and confirmed that his initial recovery timeline was in line with the team’s expectations.

“I mean, that was the case,” Samuel said. “But I came back feeling pretty good and we went to training the last two days feeling good, so we’ll just see how it goes.”

Samuel’s return gives the 49ers’ offense a much-needed boost, still without running back Christian McCaffrey, who is recovering from Achilles tendonitis.

San Francisco selected Samuel out of South Carolina in the second round (No. 36 overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. He has recorded 13 receptions for 164 yards in two games this season.
