As part of the announcements at RazerCon 2024, it was revealed that a brand new version of Razer Synapse is available to download, and if you actively use Razer peripherals, it looks like a must-have app update thanks to a 30% performance increase over the previous version.

There were some exciting reveals during this year’s RazerCon show, from the ultra-premium Razer Kraken V4 Pro, which is expected to be the company’s new best gaming headset, to the innovative Razer Freyja haptic cushion. A reveal that may seem less impactful, but is actually quite significant, is the reveal of Razer Synapse 4. This new update not only makes the software run faster, but also brings with it some useful additional features.

All of Razer Synapse 3’s existing features remain, but this latest version brings some additional features specifically for some of Razer’s best gaming mice. These include One-Step DPI Adjustment, which allows more precise control over your mouse settings, and Sensitiviy Matcher Calibration, which allows you to transfer DPI settings across multiple Razer mice. Meanwhile, the improved asymmetrical cut-off allows for finer tuning of takeoff and landing distances.

Razer’s Snap Tap feature is also getting better support despite the Snap Tap CS2 ban, after announcing it will be rolling out to more keyboards and even the Blade laptops.

Another big improvement concerns the user interface, which is now much more intuitive and presents all the devices you manage in a clearer way. This also means you can adjust the settings of individual peripherals much more quickly since you don’t have to search for the device you want to adjust.

Speaking of speed, Razer also claims that Synapse 4 runs 30% faster than Synapse 3 based on its own testing. Despite this increase in efficiency, there doesn’t appear to be any additional load on your system that could potentially disrupt gameplay. Razer Synapse 4 is available to download now from the Razer website.

A long strip mall in Queens, New York City, has become such a hotbed for open-air prostitution that when police raided a brothel there last week, the same cathouse was back open for business within 24 hours, according to a stunning video from Fox News Digital shows.

Fox News Digital visited the seedy stretch of Roosevelt Avenue in Queens – which includes Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez’s district – to report on the area’s lawbreaking behavior and was conducting an interview outside the nearby brothel, as a suspected sex worker and her client left the building.

The building, a former beauty salon, appears to be closed as the storefront is shuttered with metal shutters, but a makeshift door has been cut out. Two CCTV cameras are stationed above them.

The woman, wearing tight gym shorts and a black top, looks briefly into the Fox News digital camera and then runs toward Roosevelt Avenue as her young customer repairs himself and then follows closely behind her.

The woman in the video was later seen soliciting sex with other women around the corner from the Case Street brothel. The suspected sex workers are supposed to pick up their clients on the busy street and then take them to the brothel around the corner, which leads into a residential area.

The NYPD confirmed that three arrests were made in the Sept. 18 raid on the building. It is unclear why it was not immediately padlocked.

The Queens District Attorney’s Office told Fox News Digital that it is in the process of shutting down the brothel, saying it understands the NYPD is separately seeking a “parallel anti-establishment harassment order.”

Ramses Frías, a local resident turned activist who was being interviewed just as the couple left the building, said he was not surprised that the building was back in operation since the suspected sex workers left their bodies inside at all hours of the day and night Displayed outdoors with little impact.

““Prostitution is rampant in this area, especially on this corner,” Frías said. “This bloc itself has simply spiraled out of control and lawlessness continues to occur.” This [raid] was done yesterday and as you can see it still appears to be operational.”

Known by locals as the “Avenue of the Sweethearts,” residents say the prostitution situation reminds them of the streets of Bangkok’s red light district. In addition, illegal traders flock the sidewalks serving hot food or selling used clothing in “third world” conditions.

On a block along Roosevelt Avenue, Fox News digital cameras recorded a line of as many as 19 suspected sex workers on the sidewalk. There were at least seven more around the corner, and in the next block a woman was seen asking for sex for $60.

Frías says the suspected prostitutes and their pimps continue to violate the law with little consequence, while many elected leaders do nothing to stop the lawlessness.

Prostitution is illegal in New York.

In January, the NYPD raided six establishments in the area that allegedly engaged in prostitution and issued them closure orders.

The raid drew widespread attention because embattled New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Democratic City Council member Francisco Moya were in attendance. However, the Queens District Attorney’s Office confirmed that no arrests were made, saying the arrests were made solely to comply with anti-harassment court closure orders under the jurisdiction of the NYPD.

Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels and Republican mayoral candidate, called it a “show raid” and said there were no arrests.

“They didn’t arrest the johns, prostitutes and madams; they never took action against the landlords, and the next day they were back in business,” said Sliwa, who accompanied Fox News Digital and Frías on a tour of the area. “This would never be tolerated in Manhattan. You tolerate it because it’s… in the eyes of many New Yorkers a poor and impoverished area, but that doesn’t give you any reason to allow it.”

Is tailgating allowed for the IU vs. Maryland game?

Yes. As of Friday morning, IU has not banned or discouraged tailgating in the Memorial Stadium parking lot before the game.

A 32-year-old man was wounded in the chest in a seemingly random stabbing on a quiet Brooklyn street, police and witnesses said Saturday.

The victim was standing outside a Mediterranean restaurant on Seventh Avenue near Lincoln Place in Park Slope around 9 p.m. Tuesday when a stranger rushed up to him and plunged a knife into him, police said.

The attacker may have mumbled something before bringing the knife down on his victim, police said.

“The guy was on the other side and he just crossed the street, turned around, stabbed the guy and just ran away,” said Sydni Hines, who works at a nearby restaurant. “The victim was next door [to us]. He was just standing there with two or three other people.”

EMS took the victim to New York Presbyterian-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he is believed to have survived.

The victim told police that he did not recognize the man who attacked him. Police were told there was also no interaction between the two men before the attack.

“From what I understand, it seems to have been a coincidence,” said a witness who did not want to be named. “It’s quite shocking because this is a good area. I have never heard of an incident like this ever happening here.”

“I just hope the guy is OK,” he said.

Hines also believes the attack was random.

“I don’t know if anything happened before, but from what we saw … it just seemed random,” she said. “It’s not shocking because it’s Brooklyn. But it’s shocking for the area because it’s Park Slope, it’s a pretty good area.”

Police say overall crime in Park Slope, which is protected by the 78th Precinct, has dropped significantly this year.

Through Sept. 22, cops reported an 18% drop in neighborhood assaults, down to 121 from 148 this time last year. Robberies also fell 30%.

However, the number of murders in the area has risen to two from one last year, cops said.

Investigators recovered surveillance footage of the bearded attacker, who was wearing a black ski cap, white T-shirt and black jeans on the night of the attack.

Police released the images to the public on Saturday in the hope that someone would recognize him.

A $3,500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the attacker.

NASA launched its Crew-9 mission from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida today, September 28, 2024, at 10:46 pm IST.

The goal of this mission is to rescue astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore, who have been stranded on the International Space Station (ISS) since June 6, 2024 due to complications with their original spacecraft, Boeing’s Starliner.

SPACEX LAUNCHES CREW 9 MISSION TO SAVE SUNITA WILLIAMS

The Crew 9 mission will transport NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov to the ISS.

What is unique is that only two crew members are used on this flight instead of the usual four, as the remaining seats are reserved for the return journey of Williams and Wilmore. The Crew Dragon spacecraft is expected to dock with the ISS on September 29th.

Williams and Wilmore’s extended stay aboard the ISS was due to technical problems with their Starliner capsule, which experienced multiple helium leaks and engine failures during the docking process.

After careful consideration, NASA deemed it too risky to return the astronauts on the Starliner and opted for an unmanned return of the spacecraft on September 6th.

NASA’s Commercial Crew Program was pivotal in facilitating crew rotation to the ISS. The Crew-9 mission marks the ninth operational flight for SpaceX under this program since its launch in 2020.

After returning to Earth, Williams and Wilmore are expected to reunite with Hague and Gorbunov for a five-month science mission aboard the ISS.

In the event of an emergency prior to Crew-9’s arrival, a contingency plan is in place that allows Williams and Wilmore to use the Crew-8 Dragon capsule, currently docked with the ISS, for a rapid evacuation.

Ken Bowersox, NASA’s associate administrator for space operations, acknowledged the challenges the astronauts faced during this extended mission but expressed confidence in their ability to adapt and thrive in space.
