Starring Oscar winners Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman, directed by Academy Award-winning director Clint Eastwood and based on the true story of Nelson Mandela and Francois Pienaar as they attempt to unify post-apartheid South Africa. Invictus had all the makings of a great film. Luckily, the time had come when the final product hit theaters. Everything comes together to make this historical drama more than just a feel-good sports story, as it highlights the importance of uniting for the good of a nation and humanity.

If you’re already afraid of clowns, It It certainly won’t help since it follows Stephen King’s infamous Pennywise. In this horror film, the bloodthirsty clown attempts to carry out an assassination attempt and terrorize the children of a small town. The film will definitely help you get into the spirit of Halloween if you are a fan of this pastime. By the way, this isn’t the “haunting” film we mentioned earlier.

Misery (1990)

We love that Max is pretty timely with the release of the classic misery This week, Kathy Bates is back in the Hollywood spotlight with the premiere of the reimagining Matlock. In miseryBates plays a crazy fan who accidentally saves the center of her obsession, a novelist played by James Caan, after he is involved in a car accident. However, Mississippi Masala is a hidden gem in his award-winning resume. It follows Washington and Sarita Choudhury on their characters’ romantic journey as they confront feuding families, racial tensions and the usual problems that plague young loves.

When Andy Serkis took the reins as Caesar Planet of the Apes In the films, fans loved the reimagining of the classic franchise. Firstly, there was Rise of the Planet of the Apes and then there was Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), with the first film only narrowly surpassing its sequel. Pittsburgh Steelers DST – Fantasy Football Outlook

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been strong defensively this season, giving up the fewest yards and points per contest in the NFL. They are primed for more success at home against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4.

Although the Indianapolis offense has put up a respectable number of points over the last three weeks, Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson currently leads the league in interceptions thrown. If running back Jonathan Taylor struggles against a Steelers defense that allows the second-fewest rushing yards per game,

Richardson could be forced to throw the ball as he deals with intense pressure from DPOY favorite TJ Watt. Fantasy managers should include Pittsburgh’s DST in lineups of all shapes and sizes on Sunday.

-Jorden Hill, RotoBaller

New York Jets DST – Fantasy Football Outlook

The New York Jets defense pulled off a great draw at home against the Denver Broncos in Week 4. The Broncos have struggled offensively this season, ranking 23rd in points per game and 26th in yards per game through three weeks.

The Jets have one of the most talented defenses in the league and are in a great situation at home against rookie quarterback Bo Nix. With New York considered a 7.5-point home favorite in a game with a low over/under ratio of 39.5, fantasy gamers should be confident heading into Week 4 with the Jets defense.

– Matt T., RotoBaller

Cleveland Browns DST – Fantasy Football Outlook

The Cleveland Browns defense will hit the road to face the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4. Cleveland’s defense was solid through three games, recording nine sacks, good for tenth in the league.

The Raiders will call on Gardner Minshew II at center after benching him for Aiden O’Connell last week, but Minshew is on a leash after throwing just three touchdowns and three interceptions in the first three games of the season Thrown and didn’t score a vote of confidence from head coach Antonio Pierce during the week.

However, the Browns’ defense enters Week 4 pretty banged up, as Myles Garrett (foot, hamstring, hamstring), Jordan Hicks (ribs, elbow) and Mike Ford (knee) all missed a few practices this week due to their respective injuries. The Browns are 1.5-point away favorites in a game with a low over/under of 36.5 points, so fantasy managers can feel confident starting the unit as a top-10 option this weekend.

Nate Silver and Allan Lichtman clash in the 2024 presidential election

Nate Silver and Allan Lichtman clash in the 2024 presidential election

The feud between historian Allan Lichtman and forecaster Nate Silver is heating up on social media as Election Day approaches.

Lichtman, an American university professor who has correctly predicted the outcome of nine of the last 10 presidential elections, predicted earlier this month that Kamala Harris-Tim Walz would win the White House.

Since then, Silver, a political pollster and founder of FiveThirtyEight, has released data showing that Vice President Harris is ahead of former President Donald Trump in the national polling average by nearly three points – 48.9% to 46% – Trump and the vice presidential nominee JD Vance, however, has a 56.2% chance of winning the Electoral College, compared to Harris-Walz (43.5%).

Historian and American University professor Allan Lichtman, seen here answering questions during an interview with AFP on September 7, 2024 in Bethesda, Maryland, uses a model of 13 true/false criteria to predict whether the presidential candidate will be the incumbent Party will win or lose the next election.

Exclusive survey:According to polls, Donald Trump is ahead of Kamala Harris in Arizona

On Friday, Silver questioned Lichtman’s ability to read his own 13 keys that he used to call presidential elections. “At least 7 of the keys, maybe 8, are clearly pro-Trump. Sorry bro, but that’s what the keys say. Unless you admit they’re completely random?” Silver posted on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter.

Kentucky vs. Ole Miss result today: Results, highlights from the fifth week college football game

Kentucky vs. Ole Miss result today: Results, highlights from the fifth week college football game

Game coverage:

Kentucky football surprises Ole Miss: Mark Stoops records the biggest win of his tenure in Lexington

Coverage during the game:

OXFORD, Miss. – Kentucky football will attempt today to accomplish a feat that Ole Miss’ first four opponents failed to accomplish this fall: stifle quarterback Jaxson Dart and his wealth of weapons offensively.

And the Wildcats will try to achieve that goal in the middle of their first road game of the 2024 season after starting with four straight games at Kroger Field.

That’s not all: Mark Stoops is looking for his first win over Ole Miss in his 12th season as UK’s coach. He has lost his three previous meetings with the Rebels by a total of seven points (one point in 2020, three points in both 2017 and 2022). ).

Watch Kentucky Football vs Ole Miss Live on Fubo (Free Trial)

A surprise win by No. 5 Ole Miss would also provide a dose of history for Kentucky: It has lost six straight games at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium since its last triumph at Oxford in 1978 (though the Rebels did lose their home win in 2010 ). due to NCAA violations).

Offensively, the Wildcats are hoping quarterback Brock Vandagriff can build on his performance from last week’s win over Ohio – a game in which junior receiver Dane Key caught seven passes for 145 yards, both personal bests in a game.

But UK will be without one of its best players: cornerback Maxwell Hairston, who tied the program’s all-time record for pick sixes (three) last week, is out with an injury and will not play against Ole Miss.

If the Wildcats manage to defeat the Rebels and hand the hosts their first loss of the season, it would be the decisive victory of the Stoops’ tenure.

We’ll find out if his team can make that happen in the first SEC matchup of the day.

Kentucky vs. Ole Miss score updates

FINAL: KENTUCKY 20, OLE MISS 17

KENTUCKY 20, OLE MISS 17 (4Q, 2:25)

Gavin Wimsatt brings it into the end zone and fumbles the ball. But tight end Josh Kattus recovers the ball for the Kentucky touchdown.

OLE MISS 17, KENTUCKY 13 (3Q, 0:10)

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin faces fourth-and-7 at the Kentucky 48-yard line. It paid off for the hosts as Jaxson Dart connected with Tre Harris on a 48-yard score.

KENTUCKY 13, OLE MISS 10 (3Q, 6:31)

Alex Raynor calmly converts another field goal. This is a 48-yarder that puts Great Britain ahead by three.

KENTUCKY 10, OLE MISS 10 (3Q, 9:44)

The Rebels had a solid performance, but the Wildcats’ defense came through in the red zone and limited the hosts to a 31-yard field goal from Caden Davis.

HALFTIME: KENTUCKY 10, OLE MISS 7

KENTUCKY 10, OLE MISS 7 (2Q, 0:27)

The British offense finally manages a touchdown against an SEC opponent: Dane Key catches a 5-yard pass from Brock Vandagriff and puts the guests in the lead just before halftime.

OLE MISS 7, KENTUCKY 3 (1Q, 5:13)

Kentucky has a promising early possession, but can’t cash in on a touchdown. Instead, Alex Raynor converted another field goal. This was from a distance of 26 meters.

OLE MISS 7, KENTUCKY 0 (1Q, 12:51)

The Ole Miss offense wastes no time getting on the field. She covered 83 yards in just six plays, taking just 2:05 minutes. Henry Parrish Jr. capped the drive with a 1-yard touchdown run.

Kentucky vs Ole Miss Prediction

Ole Miss 30, Kentucky 17: The Wildcats’ defense will hold the Rebels’ offense well below their season averages for points and yards. But a UK offense that has failed to cross the goal line in its first two games against SEC competition this fall won’t do enough to take advantage. In return, there is a nightmarish conference start for Kentucky: after three league games it is 0:3 before September even comes to an end.

Packers QB Jordan Love “is expected to play Sunday against the Vikings” after suffering an MCL sprain in Week 1

One of the highest-paid players this NFL season will return to action on Sunday against a division rival.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been practicing all week and is inching closer to returning to the starting job he ceded to Malik Willis because of a left knee sprain in Week 1.

Now NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that the second-year starter is expected to return to the lineup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Love was limited in practice Friday and continues to wear a brace on his left knee. He was officially listed as questionable on the week’s final injury report.

“I think every time he’s out there it’s encouraging. “But we’ll see,” Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Friday.

With Love sidelined, Willis led the Packers to consecutive victories by completing 73.5 percent of his passes for 324 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Willis also averages 9.5 yards per carry and rushes for 114 yards on 12 carries.

The Vikings, who visit Green Bay on Sunday, have spent the week preparing for both quarterbacks, defensive coordinator Brian Flores said. He praised LaFleur effusively and said the Green Bay program adopted for Willis appeared to be a completely different offense.

“I don’t think there’s enough talk about what’s going on there with Malik Willis,” Flores said. “It’s impressive to see.”

Minnesota (3-0) has given up a total of 30 points in the first three games of the season and leads the NFL with 16 sacks.

Love said he felt like he was “close” to being ready to start last week in Tennessee. In his last start against the Vikings, he had four total touchdowns, including one on the ground.

“I’m trying to push it forward and I tried to come back as quickly as possible no matter who the opponent was,” Love said.

Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander, who is expected to take over for Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson on Sunday, does not appear certain to play this week because of a quad issue. While the Packers spent most of Friday’s practice outside, Alexander stayed inside. Alexander was listed as questionable on Friday.

“It’s definitely a concern. “Any time a guy isn’t working out, it’s a cause for concern,” LaFleur said.

Packers offensive lineman Jordan Morgan (shoulder) is out.

U-Haul is offering Helene victims a free month of storage

More than 400 U-Haul stores in 10 states are offering a month of free storage to people affected by Hurricane Helene, now a post-tropical system.

Storm victims can also opt to use a portable U-Box container for a month if they need “a dry and safe place to store their belongings during storm cleanup.”

According to U-Haul, 437 stores are providing disaster relief: 136 in Florida; 79 in Georgia; 50 in North Carolina; 48 in Tennessee; 35 in Alabama; 34 in Virginia; 32 in South Carolina; 19 in Kentucky; two in Indiana; and two in Mississippi.

Offer valid for new Self Storage or U-Box customers and based on availability at each location. A full list of stores offering the free service can be found here.

The remnants of Hurricane Helene dissipated Saturday, but millions of people across the Southeast remain without power and officials warned that record-breaking river flooding continues in parts of the southern Appalachians.

RELATED: Flooding at Tennessee hospital requires ‘dangerous’ helicopter rescue

The storm is blamed for at least 52 deaths in five states, including 23 people in South Carolina and 11 in Florida. But the death toll is certain to rise as authorities continue to take stock of the devastation of Helene. In hard-hit Buncombe County, North Carolina, where Asheville is located, authorities said they knew people had died but made no announcement because communications blackouts did not allow them to reach victims’ families.

Officials said all roads in western North Carolina should be considered closed. Interstate 40 and I-26 were impassable in several places. Other roads were flooded or blocked by fallen trees and debris.
