Everton vs Man Utd Women’s Super League TV details, live stream, kick-off time

Manchester United travel to Everton in the Women’s Super League on Sunday, with the Red Devils looking to build on their season-opening win last week.

United beat West Ham 3-0, with Geyse, Leah Galton and Grace Clinton scoring in a dominant win at Old Trafford.

Marc Skinner’s side, which won the Women’s FA Cup last season, finished fifth in the 2023/24 WSL and will be hoping to close the gap on the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City.

United have not yet won the WSL title and they are arguably behind their rivals in the pecking order – however, they impressed last weekend and will be expecting to beat Everton on Sunday after the Toffees suffered defeat in their season opener.

Everton lost 4-0 at Brighton last week, with Brian Sørensen’s side registering just two shots on target and enjoying 40 percent possession.

More like that

They finished eighth in the WSL last season and will be hoping they can do even better this time around.

Actors you forgot appeared in James Bond films, including a major Netflix star

Actors you forgot appeared in James Bond films, including a major Netflix star

What are the most famous faces you forgot were in James Bond films? (Image: MGM/Eon/Danjaq/UPI/Kobal/Shutterstock)

The James Bond film series has been on the big screen for so long that thousands of names must have appeared alongside the legendary spy by now.

Since 1962, 007 has been known as “Dr. No” has appeared in no less than 25 films (plus two spin-offs) and has met countless allies and villains along the way.

Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, Sir Sean Connery, Sir Roger Moore, George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton have all played Bond over the last 62 years.

But what about the cast around her? So many famous faces appeared in front of the camera during the Bond series that some of them have been forgotten.

The list of names includes one of the best-selling pop stars of all time, at least two Game of Thrones cast members and a star from one of Netflix’s biggest series.

Research from Betway has revealed that the top eight stars you’ve probably forgotten played major roles in one of the biggest film franchises of all time.

Madonna

Madonna in James Bond, Die Another Day

Topping the list is legendary pop sensation Madonna, who briefly appeared alongside Pierce Brosnan as fencing instructor Verity in the 2002 film Die Another Day.

Not only did she sing the Bond theme song for the film, which reached number three in the British charts, but she was also one of the leading actresses.

Verity is introduced when James Bond is taking fencing lessons in London – training her protégé Miranda Frost, played by Rosamund Pike.

Her appearance was so brief that Betway discovered that Madonna was the biggest name from the Bond franchise that people had forgotten over the years.

Die Another Day, released to mark the franchise’s 40th anniversary, proved to be the last Bond film to star Pierce Brosnan; In 2005, Daniel Craig took on the lead role.

The film received mixed reviews – 56% on Rotten Tomatoes with an average rating of 6.1 out of 10 – but remains a favorite of Bond fans.

Charles Dance

Charles Dance in For Your Eyes Only

Long before Charles Dance (right) was Tywin Lannister… (Image: Danjaq/Eon/Ua/Kobal/REX/Shutterstock)

Long before he played Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones, Charles Dance made his feature film debut playing Claus in the 1981 Bond film For Your Eyes Only.

In For Your Eyes Only, starring Roger Moore as 007, Bond fights against the Soviet Union to locate and secure a high-tech British Secret Service device lost at sea.

Claus is introduced as the henchman of the film’s main villain, Aristotle Kristatos (Julian Glover), when Bond is forced to escape on skis while Claus pursues him.

Throughout the rest of the film, Claus pursues Bond and attempts to fight him in other environments, but is ultimately killed before he can complete his mission.

For Your Eyes Only currently holds a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 69% and an average critic rating of 5.4 out of 10 – indicating more mixed reviews for the film.

However, the film was a huge success at the box office and grossed the equivalent of just over £500 million in 2024. And yet Charles Dance has slipped under the radar!

David Harbour

David Harbor and Jeffrey Wright in Quantum of Solace.

David Harbor (left) played the lead role in the 2008 Bond film Quantum of Solace (Image: Mgm/Columbia/Eon/Kobal/REX/Shutterstock)

Before becoming James Hopper, police chief in Hawkins, Indiana, David Harbor was Gregg Beam in the 2008 Bond film Quantum of Solace.

Gregg was the head of the CIA’s South American division, but was secretly corrupt and turned out to be an ally of the main antagonist Dominic Greene (Mathieu Almaric).

In Quantum of Solace, Gregg is the boss of Bond’s close ally and friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright).

Eventually, after the death of Dominic Greene, Gregg’s ties to the Quantum businessman are exposed and Felix replaces him as department head.

Similar to Die Another Day and For Your Eyes Only, Quantum of Solace was released to mixed reviews, earning a 64% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

However, among Bond fans, the film is considered a long-awaited revenge-based sequel to 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

Minnie Driver

“Who will strangle the cat?” (Image: MGM)

British-American actress Minnie Driver was just making her first steps into the film industry when she was cast in the 1995 Bond film GoldenEye.

GoldenEye was the first Bond film to star Pierce Brosnan as 007, in which he tried to stop a rogue MI6 agent (Sean Bean) from using satellite weapons against London.

Minnie plays Irina, the lover of crime boss Valentin Zukovsky (Robbie Coltrane) – she works as a singer in one of Zukovsky’s clubs, where Bond meets her.

However, her singing isn’t quite up to standard (“Who’s strangling the cat?”), and she was last seen leaving the stage shortly after Zukovsky ordered her, “Take a hike!”

“GoldenEye” did much better with critics than any other film we’ve covered before, earning an 80% “Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with an average score of 6.8 out of 10.

The film also did well at the box office, grossing the equivalent of £550 million worldwide in 2024, making it the most successful Bond film since the 1970s.

Hugh Bonneville

Hugh Bonneville smiles into the camera

Hugh Bonneville only made a brief appearance in the 1990s (Image: Getty Images)

Did you know that Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham, starred alongside Pierce Brosnan’s James Bond in 1997’s Tomorrow Never Dies?

Well, now do it! Hugh Bonneville was cast as an unnamed supporting character, known only as an Air Warfare Officer, just three years into his film career.

Hugh’s character, serving on the HMS Bedford, is attacked by the Chinese Navy at the end of the film and is last seen as part of the search party looking for Bond and Wai Lin (Michelle Yeoh).

Despite the positive reviews GoldenEye received, Tomorrow Never Dies was considered another mixed outing, with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 57% and an average rating of 6.1 out of 10.

However, the film did well at the box office, and the eventual box office revenue only just matched the huge success of “GoldenEye” two years earlier.

Sammy Davis Jr

The ‘Greatest Entertainer’ has been axed from Diamonds Are Forever (Image: David Redfern/Redferns/Getty Images)

We could forgive you for not knowing, considering Sammy Davis Jr.’s cameo in Diamonds Are Forever was cut from the final cut of the film.

The 1971 film, which featured Dame Shirley Bassey’s classic theme song of the same name, is the last to star Sean Connery, who was convinced to return after exiting the franchise in the 1960s.

Davis Jr., once considered “the greatest living entertainer in the world,” arrived on the Bond set having previously been nominated for an Emmy and a Grammy in the 1960s.

He appeared at a roulette table in the early versions of Diamonds Are Forever, but did not appear in the final film – his scene can be viewed in the DVD extras menu.

“Diamonds Are Forever” marks the fifth time that Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld has appeared – the last time until the 2015 film “Spectre” brought him back.

Tobias Menzies

Daniel Craig and Tobias Menzies in James Bond

Have you seen Tobias Menzies (left) in Casino Royale? (Image: MGM/Columbia)

Game of Thrones and Catastrophe star Tobias Menzies makes his first appearance in the James Bond series as Ms (Judi Dench) assistant Villiers in the 2006 film Casino Royale.

In the film, M is alerted by Villiers to Bond’s secret mission to track down the criminal mastermind Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen), who is the main antagonist of the story.

Villiers is last seen when he comes across a corpse – that of Solange Dimitrios – and immediately leaves the room with his hand over his mouth.

Casino Royale marked a significant rebranding of the Bond franchise and is still considered one of the greatest James Bond films of all time, with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 94% and an average rating of 7.8 out of 10.

Joanna Lumley

Joanna Lumley (front) appears in On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Joanna Lumley (front center) was one of Blofeld’s angels of death (Image: Moviestore/REX/Shutterstock)

The absolutely fabulous actress Joanna Lumley is a star on both the big and small screens, but did you know she had a supporting role in one of the earliest James Bond films?

In 1969, she appeared as The English Girl, one of Blofeld’s Angels of Death and the only Angel of Death without allergies (if you know, you know).

After her appearance in the film, Joanna returned to the Bond franchise and recorded abridged versions of the Bond books Casino Royale, Live and Let Die and Diamonds Are Forever.

On Her Majesty’s Secret Service has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 81% with an average score of 5.7 out of 10, but has a good reputation among Bond fans.

DC Download: Congress approves another decade of Tahoe funding

DC Download: Congress approves another decade of Tahoe funding

And just like that, Congress is out of session again and the elections are less than 40 days away.

Sorry for the Carrie Bradshaw-ism, but the government is now funded until December and all you have to do is see who wins. There will likely be a number of legislative efforts in the lame-duck session, but the Nevada delegation scored a major, bipartisan victory this week with the passage of the Lake Tahoe Restoration Reauthorization Act. Since this is a Nevada-related topic, let’s get straight to the Nevada Angle.

Let’s get into it.

The Nevada Angle

A bill that would keep federal funds flowing to Lake Tahoe for another decade is now awaiting the president’s signature after successfully passing both chambers.

The Lake Tahoe Restoration Reauthorization Act, introduced in March 2023 by Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) and co-sponsored by Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and Senators from California, is the third iteration of the original Lake Tahoe Restoration Act of 2000.

This bill, sponsored by the late Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Harry Reid (D-NV), established a $300 million fund for restoration projects around the lake, including removal of invasive species, new hiking trails, and conservation efforts Resilience to forest fires. Crucially, as approved programs, these projects do not have to go through the annual appropriations process and are not subject to the whims of partisan scrutiny or budget priorities. The funding is already in place – approval simply allows these funds to be used further.

In 2016, under the leadership of then-Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV), a reauthorization passed and appropriated $415 million. This reauthorization was scheduled to expire on September 30th.

The 2024 reauthorization does not include any new money — there is nearly $300 million left in the fund — but does extend the time for spending by another 10 years.

The bill was passed unanimously by the Senate in July and by a voice vote in the House on Tuesday.

“I am proud of our bipartisan work in providing funding for vital programs that keep the lake clean, support local jobs and support our tourism economy,” Cortez Masto said in a statement. “It is an honor to lead Team Tahoe and fight for the resources the basin needs to thrive.”

In the House of Representatives, the bill was supported by all four Nevada residents and Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA), who represents the California side of the lake. Rep. Mark Amodei (R-NV), who led the effort in the House, said the coalition intentionally used the already-passed Senate version of the bill to avoid any administrative delays.

“We passed the Senate bill so you don’t have to go back and forth,” he said.

Tahoe advocacy has always been a bipartisan effort. The annual Lake Tahoe Summit, a tradition that began in 1997, traditionally includes speeches from lawmakers from both parties and both states.

Tahoe advocates testified on behalf of the bill before a House subcommittee in early September. They noted that federal funding is a critical component of the conservation program, which has implemented more than 830 projects since its founding in 1997.

“In the midst of election season, the entire country can celebrate the successful bipartisan effort to pass the Lake Tahoe Restoration Reauthorization Act,” League to Save Lake Tahoe CEO Darcie Goodman Collins said in a statement. “In every conversation we have with lawmakers, all we hear is a commitment to protecting this national treasure.”

Around the Capitol

🇺🇦From Las Vegas to Kyiv – Cortez Masto led all five Democrats in the Nevada delegation in a letter calling on the Biden administration to ease restrictions on Ukraine’s use of U.S.-made weapons.

President Volodymyr Zelensky asked President Joe Biden this week for the ability to use U.S.-made long-range missiles to attack targets deep inside Russia – a request that has divided Ukraine’s allies. Several members of Congress and government officials, including now Nevadans, have called on Biden to concede in the hope that it will end the war more quickly.

The geothermal energy bill sponsored by Lee passes the House of Representatives A bill to accelerate geothermal energy development co-sponsored by Rep. Susie Lee (D-NV) passed by voice vote in the House of Representatives on Wednesday. The bill creates a categorical exclusion from the environmental review process for permitting geothermal wells in areas where drilling has already been conducted or permitted within the last five years.

💰$$$ to ABTC American Battery Technology Company (ABTC), a Reno company that manufactures and recycles lithium-ion batteries, will receive $150 million from the Department of Energy as part of the Biden administration’s efforts to advance the domestic lithium battery supply chain. ABTC has been the beneficiary of several federal grants and programs, including taking advantage of $60 million in tax credits from the Clean Energy Act signed by Democrats to build its battery recycling facilities. This grant will be used to build a second battery recycling facility.

The University of Wisconsin fires the porn industry’s former chancellor, who wanted to stay on as a professor

The University of Wisconsin fires the porn industry’s former chancellor, who wanted to stay on as a professor

The University of Wisconsin Board of Regents voted unanimously Friday to fire a communications professor who wanted to keep his job after he was fired as chancellor of one of the system’s campuses for producing pornographic films. Joe Gow, who had served as UW-La Crosse’s chancellor for nearly 17 years, argued last week that he should be retained in a teaching position on campus. But the university’s lawyers argued that he behaved unethically, violated the terms of his employment contract, damaged the university’s reputation and compromised its mission. The regents met in closed session Friday morning before publicly voting to fire Gow. There was no public discussion before the board vote. Gow said he is considering filing a lawsuit to keep his teaching job. He did not immediately respond to a message Friday morning. Gow has been on paid leave from his faculty position since the regents fired him as chancellor in 2023, shortly after university leaders became aware of the videos posted on pornographic websites. The case has drawn national attention both for the salaciousness of a high-ranking university official making pornographic films and speaking publicly about them and for the questions it raises about free speech rights. Gow argued that his videos and two e-books he and his wife Carmen have published about their experiences in adult films are protected by the First Amendment. The university’s attorney argued that Gow’s videos themselves were legal, but that they were not protected by his employment contract. Zach Greenberg, an attorney at the free speech advocacy group Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, called the regents’ decision “a major blow to…” academic freedom and the right to free speech.” “FIRE has said time and time again: Public universities cannot sacrifice the First Amendment to protect their reputation,” Greenberg said. “We are disappointed that the UW has caved to donors and politicians by alienating a tenured professor.” Republican lawmakers already view the Wisconsin university system as a liberal incubator. Last year they forced the company to scale back its diversity initiatives. System President Jay Rothman has tried to avoid further angering conservatives as he seeks approval for an $855 million increase in the next state budget. Gow’s hope of teaching in the classroom again was rejected by his department head, Linda Dickmeyer. She said because Gow hasn’t taught in 20 years, he will be assigned general education courses, but she refuses to allow him to return to teaching in any role. Gow was criticized in 2018 for inviting porn actress Nina Hartley to give a talk on campus. She received $5,000 from tuition fees for her performance. He came up with the idea of bringing her to campus after filming a pornographic video with her, the university said. Gow and his wife’s e-books were written under the pseudonyms “Monogamy with Benefits: How Porn Enhances Our Relationships” and “Married with Benefits.” Our real-life adventures in the adult industry.” But they also star in a YouTube channel called “Sexy Healthy Cooking,” in which the couple cooks meals with porn actors.

2024 election updates: Trump meets with Zelensky as Ukraine becomes campaign issue

2024 election updates: Trump meets with Zelensky as Ukraine becomes campaign issue

Harris is out with a new ad in which she blasts Trump for his “broken promises” to auto workers outside his town hall in Warren, Michigan, and suggests she would try to scrap one of his key trade deals.

The digital ad presents a clip of Trump promising at a rally in 2016 that if elected, “he will not lose any plants, there will be new plants coming to this country and there will be jobs again,” the closure of a Stellantis compared to a factory in this city two years later. (Stellantis owns the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands.)

In a statement overnight, Harris criticized the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, the trade agreement that Trump renegotiated to replace the Clinton-era North American Free Trade Agreement.

Democratic presidential candidate U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris speaks during an event at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center on September 20, 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia.

“Once again, he’s repeating the same playbook, telling the same old lies about how he’s going to fight for working people, including those in Michigan,” Harris said of the former president. “But it was Trump’s trade deal that made it far too easy for a major auto company like Stellantis to go back on its word to workers by outsourcing American jobs. As one of only ten senators to vote against USMCA, I knew it was not enough to protect our country and its workers.

“Many who voted for this deal conditioned their support on a review process that I will use as president,” Harris said. The agreement is scheduled to be reviewed in 2026, at which point the parties can decide whether to extend it or not.

Shawn Fain, president of the United Auto Workers, who endorsed Harris, told reporters Friday that her statement was “spot on.”

“It is criminal that Donald Trump shows up in places like Flint, Michigan and Warren, Michigan, or anywhere else in this country, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, and wants to tell workers how much he cares about them and that he has their back says Fain. “He doesn’t care about working-class people, especially auto workers.”

As news of Sean “Diddy” Combsarrest in New York City last week continues to grab headlines, some of Hollywood’s elite are gaining unwanted attention and scrutiny due to their recent and past ties to the music mogul despite not being implicated in Diddy’s criminal case.

Diddy was arrested and charged with racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution. He faces a minimum of 15 years behind bars and a maximum sentence of life in prison if found guilty.

While some stars have spoken out, others — those who have been known to have close ties with Diddy — have remained quiet. Despite the immediate speculation surrounding their silence, not addressing the noise is actually “the best option,” according to Doug Eldridge, founder of Achilles PR.

“In high-profile situations like this, an informational vacuum creates an opportunity for that void to be filled with misinformation, driven by inaccurate assumptions, often based on speculation and lack of concrete evidence,” Elrdige told Fox News Digital.

WATCH ON FOX NATION: WHAT DIDDY DO?

”For those in Diddy’s circle — no matter how tangentially they might have been affiliated — it’s guilt by association; at least in the court of public opinion. Innocent or guilty are objective outcomes; fair is a subjective sentiment that doesn’t really exist anymore.

Diddy has ties to many Hollywood elite, none of whom have been implicated in his criminal case.  (Getty images)

“A fire requires oxygen to survive; in this case, celebrities need to think twice about whether they want to blow on this flame and make it grow brighter,” Eldridge continued. “Right now, there is a dual consideration for celebrities who are being associated with Diddy — whether rightly or wrongly. The first is their legal liability and vulnerability; anything they put out in the public sphere will be admissible and relevant.

“The second goes more toward the court of public opinion; if there is no basis or validity to the speculation, then making a statement or addressing it publicly only serves to draw undue attention and possibly give unintended credence or legitimacy to otherwise baseless speculation,” he continued. “In other words, silence is sometimes the best option, especially in our current ‘fire hose’ media environment. While the Diddy storyline isn’t going away anytime soon, the individual speculation ebbs and flows.”

SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS ARRESTED FOLLOWING RAIDS, HUMAN TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION

Though these stars are not implicated in Combs’ criminal case, Eldridge said “social media prosecutors” are quickly “passing judgment,” which, in turn, is creating negative buzz surrounding their brand, career and personal lives.

“It’s important to remember that Combs, like every American, enjoys a presumption of innocence, irrespective of the national sentiment or the severity of the allegations,” he said. “This case is still several months from being tried in a court of law. But, in the meantime, ‘social media prosecutors’ are taking the breadcrumbs and speculation and passing judgment in the proverbial court of public opinion.

“That’s less a statement about Diddy’s guilt, innocence or involvement, and more a fact about human nature — especially in the age of the internet and social media,” he added. “It’s a different world, and defendants now have to fight a battle (and present their case) on two fronts.”

TMZ PRESENTS: THE DOWNFALL OF DIDDY

Here’s a look at stars who have yet to speak out who have gained unwanted scrutiny due to their past ties to Diddy.

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis

Diddy split with Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis

Ashton Kutcher and wife Mila Kunis have recently been at the center of split rumors, which allegedly stemmed from Kutcher’s past ties to Diddy. (Kutcher and Kunis are not implicated in Combs’ criminal case.) (Getty Images)

Kutcher and Combs, who first met while hosting various TV shows on MTV, have had a yearslong friendship.

The “That ‘70s Show” actor first bonded with Combs over their shared love of pranking people. During an appearance on “Hot Ones” in 2019, Kutcher was overwhelmed with his memories and couldn’t pick one Diddy “party story” to share.

“Wow, I’ve got a lot I can’t tell. I can’t tell that one either,” Kutcher said. “Actually cycling through them. … Our relationship is really bizarre because it started overPunk’d’ cause he’s like, ‘Yo, you can’t punk me.’ I was like, ‘I don’t know what to tell you, everybody’s on the table,'” he said.

Diddy apparently said, “Not me, I’m off the table.”

Recently, Kutcher and Kunis, who have been involved in sex advocacy through their work with Thorn, an organization that fights child sex trafficking and human trafficking, have been at the center of split rumors allegedly stemming from the actor’s past ties to Diddy.

“This is absolutely ridiculous and false,” a source told People magazine of the speculation circulating online.

“Ashton has no involvement in any of this,” another source told the outlet. “He doesn’t belong in this conversation about Diddy. Ashton has only seen Diddy in a handful of social and business events, all of which have been documented by the media.”

Kutcher and Kunis also caught heat earlier this year after writing letters of support on behalf of Danny Masterson during his sexual assault trial, for which they issued a public apology.

DANNY MASTERSON SUPPORTED BY ASHTON KUTCHER, MILA KUNIS IN LETTERS TO JUDGE FOR RAPE CASE

“We are aware of the pain that has been caused by the character letters that we wrote on behalf of Danny Masterson,” Kutcher said in a video posted online.

“We support victims. We have done this historically through our work and will continue to do so in the future,” Kunis added.

“A couple of months ago, Danny’s family reached out to us and they asked us to write character letters to represent the person that we knew for 25 years so that the judge could take that into full consideration relative to the sentencing,” Kutcher said.

“The letters were not written to question the legitimacy of the judicial system, or the validity of the jury’s ruling,” Kunis said.

“They were intended for the judge to read and not to undermine the testimony of the victims or re-traumatize them in any way,” Kutcher added. “We would never want to do that, and we’re sorry if that has taken place.”

Representatives for Kutcher and Kunis did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

During an interview with Howard Stern in 2016, Usher admitted there were “very curious things taking place” that he didn’t “understand.”

“It was curious. I got a chance to see some things,” Usher said. “I went there to see the lifestyle, and I saw it. And it was. … But I don’t know if I could indulge and understand what I was even looking at. It was pretty wild. It was crazy.”

1 spectacular semiconductor stock down 21% that you’ll wish you had bought on the dip

1 spectacular semiconductor stock down 21% that you’ll wish you had bought on the dip

Micron just released another fantastic set of quarterly financial results powered by artificial intelligence.

When it comes to artificial intelligence (AI) chips, Nvidia is rightly the focus. Its data center graphics processing units (GPUs) are the best in the industry for developing AI models and helped the company gain a whopping $2.6 trillion to its market capitalization since the beginning of 2023.

But the AI landscape is growing rapidly and other semiconductor companies are also seeing significant demand for their hardware. Micron technology (MU -2.17%) is a leading provider of memory and storage chips, which are critical for the development of AI in the data center, but also for processing AI workloads in computers and smartphones.

Micron just released its latest financial results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024 (ended August 29), and saw incredible growth across the company thanks to AI-driven demand. The stock is currently trading 21% below its all-time high (set earlier this year). Now could be a good time to buy for the following reasons.

AI has increasing storage capacity

Memory chips complement the data center GPUs provided by Nvidia. They store information in an operational state so it can be accessed immediately, which is essential for data-intensive AI workloads. AI has extremely high capacity memory chips, and Micron’s HBM3E (High-Bandwidth Memory) solutions are among the best in the industry.

In fact, Micron’s latest HBM3E 36 gigabyte (GB) devices offer up to 50% more capacity than any other device on the market while using 20% less energy. By 2026, the company’s data center storage solutions are completely sold out, which isn’t surprising since Nvidia is using its HBM3E in the new H200 GPU and possibly the upcoming Blackwell-based B200 GPU as well.

Micron believes it can maintain its technological supremacy in the HBM segment as the company is already working on HBM4E. The official launch is still a few years away, but it will provide a significant leap in capacity to drive the next stage of the AI revolution. Staying ahead is crucial because the market for HBM in the data center was worth just $4 billion in 2023, but Micron expects it to exceed $25 billion in 2025 will – a whopping growth of 525% in just two years!

But Micron’s AI capabilities extend beyond the data center. Companies are racing to bring AI personal computers to market for consumers and businesses, and Micron says most of them have a DRAM (memory) capacity of at least 16 gigabytes, and up to 16 gigabytes in the premium models to 64 GB. Last year, the average DRAM content in the PC industry was 12 GB, so the capacity requirement is increasing sharply, which has a direct positive impact on Micron’s sales.

The smartphone industry is experiencing a similar change. Most Android-based device manufacturers have recently launched AI-enabled models, and in many cases they come equipped with it twice the DRAM capacity of last year’s models. Micron’s LP5X memory is used by all Tier 1 Android smartphone manufacturers worldwide, making it the leader in this segment by a wide margin.

Micron’s sales are increasing rapidly

Micron reported fourth-quarter revenue of $7.75 billion, up 93% from the same period last year. This represents an acceleration from the company’s 81% revenue growth in the third quarter, showing how quickly demand is increasing.

The result was even stronger beneath the surface, driven by $3 billion in computing and networking (data center) revenue, up a whopping 152% year-over-year.

Tight supply of HBM chips for the data center also contributed to a sharp increase in Micron’s gross profit margin in the fourth quarter. It stood at 35.3%, a sharp increase from 26.9% just three months earlier and an even larger jump of 10.8%. reduce in the same quarter last year (when the company was struggling with a supply glut).

As a result, Micron’s earnings per share (EPS) came in at $0.79, a significant improvement from $1.31 Loss per share compared to the same period last year.

Micron expects to achieve further strength across the board in the upcoming first quarter of fiscal 2025 (ending November 30). Revenue is expected to be $8.7 billion, up 85% year over year, with earnings per share of $1.54.

Micron stock looks like a great value right now

Micron posted total earnings per share of just $0.70 for fiscal 2024 as the company suffered losses in the first half of the year. Therefore, it is difficult to value the company based on its profit over the last 12 months. But Wall Street expects Micron’s earnings per share to rise to $8.79 in fiscal 2025.

Based on Micron’s share price of $110.64 as of this writing, this means the company is trading at a forward price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of just 12.6. From some perspective, that’s a 60% discount to Nvidia’s forward P/E ratio of 31.3.

I’m not trying to compare Micron to one of the hottest semiconductor stocks in history, but if you believe Nvidia will sell more data center GPUs, then Micron should also see parallel growth in its HBM3E solutions. Additionally, Micron has the added advantage of a potential AI-driven wave of demand in the personal computing and smartphone segments.

For these reasons, I think the valuation gap between the two stocks is likely to narrow. Ultimately, Micron shares would have to gain 28% from here to regain their all-time high of around $141, which they reached in June. Plus, loud The Wall Street JournalThe consensus price target for Micron shares is $157.71, implying even further upside potential beyond the record high.

Given the strong results Micron just reported and its guidance for the coming quarter, now seems like a good time to buy its shares.

Blinken: There is a path to diplomacy

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said he was confident diplomacy could prevail and would continue to push for it, but added that Israel had the right to defend itself.

“The way it works is important,” Blinken said. “The decisions that all parties make in the coming days will determine which path this region takes, with profound consequences for its people now and potentially in the years to come.”

Blinken continued, saying diplomacy is the course the US government prefers.

“The path to diplomacy seems difficult to see at the moment, but it is there and necessary. We will continue to work intensively with all parties to urge them to take this course.”

Blinken said violence will only lead to more bloodshed and instability in the region, which will “cause ripples that will be felt around the world.”
