“We are coming to Israel, help us choose a house” – this was the message of a couple with four children who live in Chicago, USA, and have decided to fulfill their dream and emigrate to Israel. Their children were of school age and they knew that in two years when they arrived in Israel they would want to live in Ra’anana, they just didn’t know exactly where.

Shira Moskal and Hadas Roth, architect and interior designer, owners of the architectural firm Halel Architecture and Interior Design, received the news and knew exactly what to do. In recent years, in addition to their firm’s architectural work and interior design, they have also managed projects for English-speaking residents who want to build their home in Israel and who lack background knowledge or knowledge of how to get started and who to contact .

“When a family faces such a life-changing move, they don’t know where to start. In most cases, they break the move down into its components and contact a real estate agent, a lawyer and an architect separately so that each can look after their interests in their area of ​​expertise,” they explain. “We coordinate the process from A to Z, all remotely controlled. If they are still busy organizing for Aliya, we are here to connect with the real estate professionals to find the right house and environment for them,” including neighborhood WhatsApp groups. And they also help those who are interested in an apartment from a project that is still “on paper”. This year, after the global rise in anti-Semitism since October 7, interest in living in Israel increased and the need arose in the office to set up a department specializing in foreign residents under the leadership of architectural engineer Adi Shani. Experience has taught “Halel Architecture and Interior Design” that the process can be carried out well even remotely using Zoom conversations, simulations, photos and videos, eliminating the need to arrive in Israel at such early stages. “Instead of exhausting them upon arrival in Israel, we take ownership of the project and, by and large, treat it as if it were our baby. The Commodores had an open date last weekend, so they will have an extra week to prepare for Alabama. Most recently, Vanderbilt lost to Missouri 30-27 in overtime in Columbia, Missouri.

So far this season, the Commodores have defeated Virginia Tech and Alcorn State but lost to Georgia State and Missouri.

Vanderbilt and Alabama last played in 2022, a game Alabama won 55-3. The last time the two teams met in Nashville was in 2017, when Alabama won 59-0. Vanderbilt hasn’t scored a touchdown against the Crimson Tide since 2007.

Decor at the couple’s celebration featured touches of stunning green and gold paired with opaque pink, cream and champagne florals by Cameron De Leon at The Petal Artist. Lush greenery draped the venue’s staircase, while a flower-filled ceremony cross and decorated mantel brought Kelley’s “floral wedding dreams to life,” she says.

Kelley, the second of Retton’s four daughters, added that she and Doughty first met when students at Louisiana State University were planning their wedding together. “We were very cooperative,” she says. “We both had suggestions and ideas that we could combine for our big day.”

For help with the finishing touches, the couple turned to Scarlet Rose Events and their coordinator Alexa Nagel, who “kept the weeks leading up to the wedding running smoothly by coordinating final schedules and meetings with vendors.” Alexa did a fantastic job with that ensured that I felt cared for and prepared for the wedding day. She was also the best hype girl!”

As she walked down the aisle to “Gratitude” by Brandon Lake, the bride wore Watters’ WToo Fortune gown from Liv & Love Bridal in San Antonio.

“I went in pretty open-minded,” she recalls. “But when I put the dress on, I knew it was the right one.” The simplicity appealed to me. I love the A-line silhouette and crepe texture of the top. It felt so flattering and I felt so confident. I added drop sleeves and viola! It was my dream Barbie wedding dress! This is the only time in my life I get to wear a wedding dress, I will cherish every second!”

Doughty wore a tailored State and Liberty athletic-fit stretch suit in hunter green, which he paired with a floral tie that included all the wedding colors. “The perfect fit for a fall wedding,” adds Kelley, whose hair and makeup was done by Ana Blanks and Kim Ramirez at Jax Studio.

Kelley’s bridesmaids wore champagne dresses from Show Me Your Mumu that they chose themselves. “It’s important to me that they feel beautiful and confident,” says Kelley.

Before reciting traditional vows, the couple enjoyed a private moment together and exchanged letters. “We don’t do a first look, so we’re going to do this without seeing each other,” Kelley explained before the ceremony. “We plan to stand on either side of a door or wall, hold hands and pray together.”

Following the wedding, the bride and groom enjoyed dinner and dancing at their reception. During cocktail hour, guests dined on bacon-wrapped chicken bites and brisket poppers in a nod to Kelley’s Texas roots, as well as margaritas and Jack Daniels cocktails.

Before the wedding, Kelley said she wasn’t feeling stressed about the big day.

“Literally no worries. I was honestly so casual about the wedding process itself. I think the hardest part was moving to Louisiana while trying to figure out the details for a Texas wedding. My biggest fear is making sure I have everything I need packed and don’t lose it while traveling!”

Doughty directed the question to Kelley on January 20, 2024. “The proposal was absolutely perfect,” Kelley told PEOPLE at the time. “It was at a resort overlooking Braden’s favorite golf course. My whole family was there, including most of his,” she says. “It was the most magical day.”

It was easy to fall in love, says Kelley. “We were both athletes at LSU – he played baseball and I was a gymnast,” he explains. “I had always admired his open faith. I even remember saying, ‘I want to marry a man like that!’ Graduation and adult life later, and here we are!”

Just days before their “I do,” McKenna said they were looking forward to becoming husband and wife.

“I think we’re just so ready to get married. We have worked really hard to lay the foundation for this marriage in Christ and we are ready and excited to officially launch this union. We know that weddings require a lot of time, travel and money, and we are honored that people make these adjustments and sacrifices to celebrate us.”

Kelley and Doughty wrote each guest a heartfelt handwritten thank you card for attending their special celebration.

“Each of our guests has had a significant impact on our lives. “Without them we wouldn’t be the people we are today,” she says. “We wanted to remind them of their importance in our relationship and how grateful we are for each of them. Even though this wedding is about us, it wouldn’t be possible without them.”

“We would especially like to thank our parents for their love, support and encouragement throughout the entire process. Without them, this day wouldn’t be possible,” Kelley said. “Jennifer and Richard and Shannon and Mary Lou, thank you for everything! We love you.”

The Chicago White Sox fired Pedro Grifol in the midst of what was officially the worst season in MLB history, at least in terms of wins and losses. Not much has happened for Chicago this season. They couldn’t even trade their All-Star pitcher and borderline Cy Young candidate at the deadline because he sabotaged his own market.

Nevertheless, there is generally a positive mood surrounding Grady Sizemore as interim manager. A three-time All-Star coach, Sizemore feels like the manager the White Sox need. Young, hip and able to identify with the players in what will surely be a lengthy rebuilding process. There’s a very real chance things will get worse before they get better for the Sox. Therefore, the manager must be able to keep the dressing room intact even during severe dry spells.

The Mets are expected to be at the forefront of free agents like Juan Soto and Corbin Burnes, which will complicate any efforts to retain Pete Alonso. The Polar Bear’s love for NYC is well documented and it’s safe to say he wants to return, but money is a choice. If the Mets withhold their resources elsewhere, it won’t be long before other teams come knocking.

In general, it’s unwise to give significant long-term money to hard-hitting first basemen with limited defensive value, especially if they’re on the wrong side of 30 (Alonso’s birthday is in December). However, Alonso has been one of the best hitters in baseball since his debut in 2019. A four-time All-Star, Alonso slashed .241/.330/.464 with 34 homers and 88 RBI over 597 ABs in his so-called “down” season. The Mets probably want him back, but if he’s too low on the priority list, other teams are lurking.

In perhaps the most predictable twist ever, the St. Louis Cardinals are expected to include Sonny Gray in trade negotiations after a commendable debut season from the former All-Star. Gray was one of the few bright spots in a season marked by mediocrity in St. Louis. The veteran was expected to help get the Cards back into the postseason mix, but the rotation around him wasn’t nearly good enough.

Gray, who signed a three-year, $75 million contract last winter, has a full no-trade clause. Among the expected applicants per USA todayare the Cincinnati Reds, who could use Gray alongside Hunter Greene at the top of their rotation. That’s a scary thought for NL Central teams, so St. Louis may have to think twice about sending its veteran ace to a division rival.

This certainly wasn’t his best season, but Gray continued his 2023 Cy Young runner-up admirably. In 28 starts for St. Louis, Gray posted a 3.84 ERA and 1.01 WHIP and recorded 203 strikeouts in 166.1 innings pitched. That was just a hair below Gray’s best mark in the punch-out department of his career, and without the injuries he probably would have set his personal record. So while Gray allowed more runs than he did a season ago, hits, walks and base runners were all down and K’s were up. The point is: he can still bring it.

Gray’s no-trade clause gives him significant control over the situation. He can orient himself towards a real candidate or an ideal location. Cincinnati doesn’t make the most sense at first glance, but Gray spent three of his best years here. Elly De La Cruz is ultimately leaning towards an MVP campaign and the Reds will certainly be better in a victorious NL Central. Maybe with Gray on his guard, Cincy can start making noise again.

Political leaders are mobilizing Wisconsin residents to fight against abortion bans.

“We need our reproductive rights so we can be safe,” said Laurel Marcinkus, a speaker at an event in Waukesha on Sunday.

Marcinkus, of Kenosha, spoke as part of the Harris-Walz campaign’s Fighting for Reproductive Freedom Bus Tour.

Marcinkus was pregnant last year and shared how difficult it was to get medical care after learning of a blood clot that led to early labor.

“However, due to the legal issues and risks of litigation, two different doctors had to be consulted before I could receive treatment. That meant I continued to bleed for a whole day,” Marcinkus said.

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer also spoke at Sunday’s event.

According to the Harris-Walz campaign, Whitmer wants to show the potential impact if Donald Trump becomes president.

Whitmer said that could include a statewide ban on abortion and limited access to contraception.

“We are passionate about creating a path to prosperity for every American. We ensure that people are respected and protected by the law and that they have access to healthcare when they need it. Period,” Whitmer said.

Whitmer rallied the crowd to encourage people to vote in November.

“Will we have an economy where everyone can get ahead, or where decisions are made only to benefit the few who are already far ahead? You know, we need people who understand, who live lives like ours. And that’s Harris and “Walz,” Whitmer said.

From New York to Chicago and the Denver suburbs, migrant gangs hold up, rape and rob stores, run brothels next to elementary schools and threaten apartment dwellers with guns into taking over apartment buildings – all without fear of deportation. The gangs turn neighborhoods into hellholes.

The crazy “sanctuary” laws are to blame.

The word “refuge” sounds merciful. Don’t be fooled. It does not mean welcoming the oppressed. It actually prohibits police from sharing arrest information with Immigration and Customs Enforcement so that the agency can detain and deport illegals arrested for violent crimes.

Protective laws protect criminals from deportation. Eleven states and about 600 cities — mostly controlled by Democrats — have them. Because of these laws, migrant lawbreakers go through the revolving door justice system and are back on the streets to strike again.

Americans have a choice: Recently, presidential candidate Donald Trump promised to work with Congress to ban sanctuary jurisdiction.

The other choice is Vice President Kamala Harris. Although she appears to have taken a vow of silence about her political positions, her records show that San Franciscans died because of her immigration crime policies when she was the city’s district attorney.

In 2008, Edwin Ramos, an illegal from El Salvador, murdered a man and his two sons. Before the triple murder, Ramos had a history of juvenile arrests for assault and attempted robbery. Had San Francisco police cooperated with federal immigration authorities, Ramos might have been deported instead of being released to kill.

The situation is similar with Rony Aguilera, an illegal from Honduras who murdered Ivan Miranda. He had already experienced several run-ins with police, but he was still in San Francisco and ready to kill.

A New York Times The report, published on September 22, claims that “Harris cracked down on violent offenders” but conveniently omits any mention of Ramos, Aguilera and their victims.

As a U.S. senator in 2017, Harris voted against a bill to increase penalties for criminals who repeatedly enter the country illegally and commit additional crimes after being deported.

Then, in 2019, as Harris launched her first campaign for president, she filled out an American Civil Liberties Union questionnaire declaring that local law enforcement “should not act as federal immigration agents.”

She also wrote that as attorney general, she told California law enforcement that they “did not have to comply with ICE detainers,” meaning they could ignore federal requests to hold suspected migrants for deportation.

The same measures are now causing migrant crime to explode. Seven Colorado counties in the clutches of the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua are suing to overturn sanctuary laws that prevent local police from working with ICE to send gang members away.

New York’s sanctuary laws have allowed the same Venezuelan gang to set up headquarters in refugee shelters across the five boroughs and terrorize the public without fear of deportation.

Crime victims can thank their bright politicians.

Mayor Eric Adams has called for a change to city laws. But the left-wing extremist city council doesn’t budge.

On September 20, Republicans in the House of Representatives introduced a bill to withhold federal aid to migrants from refuge areas.

Outrageously, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) opposed it, claiming it would “scapegoat immigrants.” This is partisan talk. Police estimate that up to 75% of arrests for assault and robbery in midtown Manhattan — Nadler’s district — are recently arrived migrants.

Trump has promised to “hunt down and capture every single gang member held illegally.” A big task, but the start is to enable local police to cooperate with ICE.

The protected area laws must be repealed.

Trump tried an executive order in 2017, cutting funding for sanctuary courts, but faced a series of legal challenges from blue state politicians and a ruling from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals that held that only Congress, not the president, can set conditions on how to do so Federal money will be spent. If Trump wins in November, he wants to avoid legal hurdles by asking Congress for help. The election will determine whether this strategy can be successful.

One thing is certain: If Harris wins, the gangs win too. As border tsarina she let them in and as president she protected them from deportation.

Under a Harris presidency, plan to lock your doors, keep your wallets safe and remain vigilant as you walk through your neighborhood — until it is no longer walkable.
