San Luis Obispo County is calling on community members to apply to join the Homeless Services Oversight Council by October 7th.

Officials say HSOC’s purpose is to implement the plan to address homelessness throughout SLO County. The council is also working with partners across the region to ensure the effectiveness of programs to support community members at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness, according to a news release.

County officials are seeking a group of service providers, government officials and engaged citizens interested in the initiative.

These community members represent multiple community sectors, including currently or formerly homeless individuals, public safety organizations, victim services providers, behavioral health agencies, organizations serving homeless veterans, and businesses.
