North Dakota St. dominates Illinois St. 42-10 to open Valley play

NORMAL, IL (Valley News Live) – The North Dakota St. Bison started Valley play on Saturday with perhaps their most complete win of the season, a 42-10 win over Illinois St. on the road.

NDSU rushed for 307 yards, including 100 from Marty Brown, making him the first Bison rusher with consecutive 100-yard games in two years.

Sheyenne graduate Barika Kpeenu also scored two touchdowns, one through the air and one on the ground.

And unsurprisingly, Cam Miller was once again doing Cam Miller things under center, going 20/23 passing for 216 yards and three touchdowns.

It is Miller’s 15th career 200-yard passing game, which now ranks as the most ever for a North Dakota St. quarterback.

Now the Bison will look to avenge last year’s loss to the Fighting Hawks when UND and North Dakota St. face off at the Fargodome on Oct. 5 at 2:30 p.m
