Chazy High School Boys’ Soccer’s Ashton Hoffnagle scores the winning goal with 35 seconds left

According to the New York State Sportswriters Association, Chazy’s high school boys football emerged as the No. 7 seed in a nonleague battle against Ogdensburg Free Academy. The Blue Devils were tied in the second half, but it was the Eagles who prevailed, making the final score 2-1. Chazy started with a 1-0 lead after Pryce Parker shot the ball under the flying OFA goalkeeper for the first goal of the game. OFA responded after an Aidan O’Neil pass set up Tyler Sovie for the game-tying score in the second half. With 35 seconds left in regulation time, a hard through pass from Ben West set up Ashton Hoffnagle for the go-ahead score.
