Man involved in 2023 shooting faces attempted murder charge

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Officials with the Evansville Police Department say a man is in prison for his involvement in a November 2023 shooting.

According to an affidavit, police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of the Pony Gentleman’s Club at approximately 3:45 a.m. on November 25, 2023.

When police arrived at the scene, they said they found several discharged firearms near the front door and parking lot.

Authorities were eventually told that a gunshot victim was in the hospital with an abrasion on his left thigh.

While reviewing surveillance footage from the club, police saw Jordan Outlaw get into a physical altercation with someone in the parking lot.

A few minutes after the fight, Jordan’s brother Brandon Outlaw Jr. drove to the club and began shooting at the person fighting with Jordan.

The victim told police that she was in Brandon’s line of fire and believed he was the one who shot her in the leg.

Police determined that Brandon intended to shoot the person who fought Jordan as he drove to the pony.

According to the affidavit, police believe Brandon’s poor aim is the only reason this wasn’t a murder investigation.

  • Unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon
  • Unlawful carrying of a handgun resulting in felony conviction
