Robert Brown Interior Design 2024 Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas

Robert Brown He knew he wanted to go out of the box for the Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas 2024, and he found the perfect catalyst in an impressive summary calico Wallpaper with atmospheric gray, blue, taupe and pink tones. The designer says he never wants to create a space that is just traditional or just contemporary, and this piece was the perfect unity to balance the more traditional architecture and add a vibrant tone to his salon.

“We call it ‘Salon d’Art Moderne,’ so this room is all about the art, and the mural really makes the room feel like a large work of art,” says Brown. “When you see the mural, it’s kind of shocking, even for us, and that’s fun.”

Brown searched CoCollect to help curate a mix of works that played with his old-meets-new vibe. Wanting to find a fresh take on old-world photography, he used black-and-white shots of Parisian and Roman interiors, as well as works by artists from Dallas and Austin, to enliven the space. However, the walls are not the only artistic gesture.
