NEW COMMIT: Qualification for the Olympic Trials Avery Klamforth of Charlotte, North Carolina, has announced her intention to continue her academic and swimming careers at the University of Texas beginning fall 2026.

She will join in Sydney Shoeck in Austin as a member of the Longhorns’ Class of 2030.






She said about her commitment:

Klamforth does her club swimming with SwimMAC Carolina and competed in both IM events at the Olympic Trials last summer before placing 10th in both events at the Speedo Summer Championships. Last December at the Juniors East, she took bronze in the 200 breaststroke, where she also placed sixth in the 400 IM and seventh in the 100 breast.

  • 100 Breast – 1:00.43
  • 200 Breast – 2:11.27
  • 200 Flies – 2:01.27
  • 1650 free – 16:45.14
  • 200 free – 1:51.43
  • 100 free – 50.91
  • 50 free – 23.73

Klamforth, currently a junior at Myers Park High School, won the 200 IM and took silver in the 100 breaststroke at the 2023 and 2024 North Carolina 4A State Championships.

The Longhorns, who now compete in the Southeastern Conference, have finished second in the NCAA Championships each of the last three seasons.
