Marvel has seemingly put this on hold blade Film that has been in development hell for the past few years.

According to Culture Crave, who announced the news on Twitter, Marvel has shelved the film without much fanfare.

“There is no longer a release date,” the tweet reads.

The film was set to star Oscar winner Mahershala Ali in the lead role of Daywalker.

Over the past year, the film has faced several delays as writers and even the director left the project.

Now it seems like Marvel has given up for now.

That’s no real surprise, considering Disney and Marvel are working hard to course-correct after recent projects’ audience and critical ratings plummeted.

With confirmation that Avengers: DOOMSDAY will begin filming early next year, and Spider Man 4 With production starting in summer 2025, it’s hard to see where the Blade film would fit.

Of course the fans are dissatisfied, because many were looking forward to a new Blade production.

“This should have been an easy slam dunk, absolute idiots at Marvel smh,” one fan said on Twitter.

While another Marvel fan says, “There is only one Blade… and there will only ever be one Blade,” he quotes Wesley Snipes’ Blade, who appeared in Blade Deadpool and Wolverine this year.

Speculation abounds as to why the film is suddenly shelved, with some wondering if the love for Wesley Snipes’ return caused the studio to reconsider.
