Elon Musk’s Starlink is now available on Qatar Airways. On October 22, 2024, Qatar Airways launched the world’s first Boeing 777 flight with Starlink internet. Qatar Airways shared a video showing Qatar Airways CEO Badr Mohammed Al Meer using Starlink to connect with Elon Musk during the flight. The first flight reportedly flew from Doha to London. During the flight, Al Meer had a video call with Elon Musk at 35,000 feet. During the video call, Musk said, “I’m on Starlink right now at my house, basically through the laser links from the satellites all the way to your aircraft.” Reliance Jio vs Starlink: Mukesh Ambani’s telecom company is in a dispute with TRAI over administrative spectrum allocation as Elon Musk’s company plans to enter India.
