Sportradar launches new NBA fan experience tools

Sportradar has announced an expansion of its NBA partnership, introducing new technology tools aimed at improving basketball fans’ experience and interaction with the game.

The Switzerland-based sports technology company has unveiled four key products that leverage artificial intelligence and the NBA’s official data, including detailed player movement tracking.

Eric Conrad, EVP of Sportradar, said: “Sportradar is committed to deepening our long-standing partnership with the NBA while helping betting operators and media companies capitalize on the league’s immense global popularity.”

“Sportradar’s proprietary technology, powered by the application of powerful AI to comprehensive data, continues to redefine the way fans interact with the NBA. We are excited about the future, driven by our constant innovation.”

A new feature is a new Virtual Live Match Tracker that creates 3D visualizations of matches in real time, allowing fans to view the action from different angles.

Building on its existing basketball offerings, Sportradar has adapted its 4Sight streaming technology, previously used in tennis, for NBA games.

The system analyzes game data to generate predictive insights and animated overlays that help viewers better understand the action.

The company has also introduced advanced visualizations that transform skeletal tracking data into interactive graphics that show elements such as player movement patterns and performance metrics.

Additionally, Sportradar has expanded its emBET feature, first tested on NBA League Pass, to additional devices including smart TVs and Android platforms.

The new features are available to NBA media partners and licensed betting providers.
