Paula Badosa, a 2024 US Open quarterfinalist and former world No. 2, is expected to return to the Credit One Charleston Open for a fifth consecutive year.

The 26-year-old Spaniard, currently ranked 14th in the world, has made a remarkable comeback from an injury that ended the 2023 season, having risen from 100th in the world rankings in May.

Badosa will join world No. 4 Jessica Pegula and world No. 8 Emma Navarro in the tournament, which runs from March 29 to April 6 at Credit One Stadium on Daniel Island. The Credit One Charleston Open, the largest women’s-only professional tennis tournament in North America, was named the WTA 500 Tournament of the Year in 2022 and 2023.
