4 arrested, accused of running retail crime ring in Orange and LA counties – Orange County Register

The California Highway Patrol arrested four people accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of retail goods in Orange and Los Angeles counties.

Investigators with the Highway Patrol’s Organized Retail Crimes Task Force executed multiple search warrants on Oct. 14 and found $143,746.79 worth of stolen retail merchandise, the task force announced.

Through the investigation, officers identified four individuals who they believe were involved in at least 10 retail thefts. Investigators also found two addresses in Anaheim and Bloomington that were used to transport stolen goods, the highway patrol said.

According to the highway patrol, the suspects were responsible for approximately $10,000 in damage between August 24 and September 27.

The four were arrested in Anaheim and taken to prison.
