Things are heating up on the courts as the MCAL play-in game approaches

Tam High defeated Archie Williams 7-0, but there was still plenty of excitement on and off the court as the Peregrine Falcons fought for a playoff spot.

• Katie Warrin’s win at No. 1 singles helped the Branson School to a 7-0 win over Terra Linda at College of Marin on Monday. Warrin defeated Kylie Lee of the Trojans 6-2, 6-2. The Bulls’ Audrey Gilmore, Paloma Vano-Rice and Simone Schacter also won singles matches in straight sets.

Water polo for boys

Senior Reed Hanna and freshman Jasper Feldman each scored four goals and seniors Bern Kent and Andrew Sternfels each scored three goals to lead visiting Tam to an 18-8 victory over Marin Academy. Freshman Pasch Campbell-Visnich had a team-high four assists for the Red-tailed Hawks (12-10, 5-3 MCAL), who now hold the fourth seed heading into next week’s playoffs. Tam plays Novato in the regular season finale on Wednesday.
