Target is rolling out another round of price cuts, this time on more than 2,000 items

Target will reduce prices on more than 2,000 items for the holiday season, including food and beverages and everyday essentials, the Minneapolis-based retailer announced Tuesday.

It’s that second time This year, Target has reduced the cost of certain items. Around 5,000 products were discounted in May.

The announcement comes as many grocery retailers unveil Thanksgiving deals.

Last week Walmart, Dollar General and Giant Eagle announced special food offers.

The Walmart deal calls for serving eight people for less than $7 per person. Dollar General is selling packages with free groceries and Giant Eagle is giving shoppers a chance to win a free turkey.

The food discounter Aldi has come out with a Thanksgiving deal that reportedly serves 10 people for under $47.

Target did not respond to a request for comment about the foods, beverages and essentials included in the latest series of price cuts.
