Lincoln is hosting a free Halloween in the Haymarket event on Wednesday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The City of Lincoln invites families to a free “Halloween in the Haymarket” event on Wednesday. The celebration with a trick-or-treat party will take place on Canopy Street in the Railyard and Iron Horse Park.

The event runs from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and features a variety of activities including face painting, balloon artists, a cartoonist and a dance party.

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities said the following streets will be closed to the public on Wednesday for the event from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.:

Canopy Street between R and P streets
Q Street between Canopy and 7th Street

LTU advises drivers to find an alternative route and exercise caution during the closure.
