“It’s time:” In-person voting begins in Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE — In-person voting began Tuesday in Wisconsin. The milestone comes two weeks before Election Day.

“It’s time to go,” said Trent Miner, president of the Wisconsin County Clerks Association. “You can go to the clerk’s office and cast your vote.”

In each community the available times are different.

“It’s going to feel like a mini Election Day,” Miner told Wis. on Tuesday. Morning News from WTMJ. “The same processes apply. You show your photo ID, provide your name and address and receive your ballot. [The big difference is,] They will seal the ballot in an envelope. It will be stored in the office’s office safe until Election Day.”

When asked if officials would prefer early voting rather than waiting until Tuesday, Nov. 5, Wood responded, “We just want you to vote. We don’t care how you do it, just go out and vote.”
