MeldaProduction MDelay, the 38th addition to the huge free MFreeFXBundle, is a delay plugin

MeldaProduction MDelay is a new free flexible delay plugin and the 38th plugin in their extensive free MFreeFXBundle package.

Producing music has never been so affordable. This is made possible primarily by the countless free plugins. More importantly, the quality of these publications has increased massively in recent years. They can easily compete with the payware plugins, not always in terms of features, but in terms of sound.

For example, MeldaProduction offers an extremely popular package called MFreeFXBundle that loads your DAW with 37 high-quality plugins for free. The new MDelay is already the 38th plugin for this impressive free bundle.

MeldaProduction MDelay

Previously, the MFreeFXBundle was missing a delay. Et voilà, MeldaProduction has the answer. The MDelay is a new free delay plugin with an extensive range of parameters and creative controls.

The plugin offers three different delay operation modes, including serial mode, which produce a denser echo by processing the second tap over the output of the first.

You can also choose between two delay algorithms. Tape mode provides classic, pitch-changing echoes, while Modern mode produces clean digital delays.

MDelay uses two taps that are fully customizable in a dedicated panel. Each offers control over gain, pan, time and shuffle. The latter results in a rhythmic mixing between the delay bands, which is great for developing delays.

You can then work with three delay modes. Standard, classic and ping-ping, which creates stereo ping-pong echoes that alternate between the left and right channels.

That’s not all that Meldaproduktion MDelay offers. You can also shape the delay tone with built-in resonant low-pass/high-pass filters, add spice with the built-in saturator, and sync them in various ways.

Of course, MeldaProduction doesn’t leave you alone and delivers MDelay with many presets so that you have a perfect start.

First impression

At first glance it’s a nice, comprehensive free delay with some nice additions – a great addition to the extensive MFreeFXBundle.

MeldaProduction MDelay is now available for free download as part of the free MFreeFXBundle package. It runs as a 64-bit VST, VST3, AU and AAX plugin on macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel) and Windows.
