Arrested for Pee Wee Football Game Shooting

CINCINNATI (WXIX) — A suspect is under arrest for the double shooting at a pee-pee football game at Walnut Hills High School, court records show.

Cincinnati police arrested 29-year-old Lamont Ragan late Monday on two counts of aggravated assault and one count of discharging a firearm on or near restricted premises.

He was booked into the Hamilton County Justice Center just before midnight and held without bail.

Ragan is scheduled to make his first court appearance in the case at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Cincinnati Police Lt. Chantia Miller told FOX19 NOW that a confrontation occurred and shots were fired around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

The shooting victims were taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, she said.

According to Lt. According to Miller, one of the victims was in serious condition Sunday evening and the second victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Newly filed court documents show witnesses told police Ragan shot two adult victims after a fight broke out during the game, according to his criminal complaint filed in Hamilton County Municipal Court.
