Spider-Man actor Tom Holland will star in Oscar-winning filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s latest film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Holland would star alongside Matt Damon in this currently untitled project.

Christopher Nolan is writing and directing the script, according to the report, which Universal Pictures will distribute. The studio has set a release date of July 17, 2026.

Plot details are yet to be revealed but as per the sources, the location of the film is not current. It is still unclear whether it is set in the past or the future, they said. Universal has not yet commented on Tom Holland’s possible casting.

Meanwhile, fans everywhere speculated about the nature of the film. One rumor says it’s a horror film, another says it’s a helicopter action film like 1983’s Blue Thunder.

According to reports, the film is expected to begin shooting early next year. Christopher Nolan is producing the film alongside his producing partner and wife Emma Thomas for their Syncopy banner. The project marks Nolan’s continued collaboration with Universal following the success of the critically acclaimed film Oppenheimer. Tom Holland recently starred alongside Francesca Amewudah-Rivers in the West End adaptation of Romeo & Juliet.
