Voter Service Center opens in Lihue

LIHUE – Election services for the upcoming 2024 general election are scheduled to open Tuesday.

The Voter Service Center (VSC) is scheduled to open Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the basement of the historic County Annex Building at 4386 Rice St. in Lihue.

VSC offers individuals who have not yet returned a ballot or unregistered individuals requesting to register and vote the opportunity to vote and register on the same day.

Voters who received mail-in ballots through a mailbox at the now-closed Kealia Post Office in Kapaa can re-register and vote at the VSC.

The Services will be available on the following dates and times:

• October 22 to November 4 – Monday to Saturday (closed Sunday) 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m

• November 5 – General Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m

VSC voter turnout will increase as election day approaches, with turnout peaking the day before and on the day of the general election.
