Video: Musky Guide accidentally catches a large…

Lisa Goodier is a tour guide at the Ottawa River Musky Factory. The following text is her bio on the outfitter’s website:

Highly addictive to musk! That’s a great way to describe Lisa. Although she only caught her first musky 12 years ago, Lisa will tell you that fish changed her life. She immediately went out, bought a boat and spent almost every free minute on the water. Her learning curve has been tremendous and she has been a student of many well-known musky guides. All of this prompted Lisa to make a major career change and now, in her sixth season, Lisa is the only full-time musky guide in Canada. She more than earned her worth in her first few seasons with fish up to 52 inches.

Describing the entertaining Facebook video below, Lisa wrote:

I recently had a great trip with Derek, Jack, Will and Tim. There was just one problem. . . The guide shouldn’t catch the fish!

The guys were great when I caught it on my second cast of the day and just showed them how to use the bait. The good thing is that we did two in half a day, one of which was a new best for the boys. Great time with great people.

As I was about to say to Tim before the musky smell bothered me, the great thing about Suick Thrillers is that you can work them quickly or slowly and to different depths depending on the conditions, the season and the musky mood.

I am so proud to be part of the Suick professional team. They are a fourth generation family business – you don’t see that often anymore. Congratulations to Mike Suick, who recently became a fourth generation owner. 94 years and counting!
