25 days without rain, continued mild weather

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The driest October on record continues, with our rain-free streak now up to 25 days. We are giving you FIRST WARNING that the weather will continue to be mild through the end of the week.

TODAY

The high pressure will also ensure lots of sunshine and dry weather throughout the day today. After starting in the 50s and 60s this morning, temperatures will climb into the upper 70s across the region.

Temperatures today will rise to the mid and upper 70s with some fair weather clouds.(WMBF)

REST OF THE WEEK

Our weather pattern will not change significantly over the remainder of the work week. The warmest temperatures will be reached on Wednesday, when highs will reach into the upper 70s to around 80°.

A weak front will move through the area early Thursday. This means temperatures may drop by a few degrees on both Thursday and Friday. Afternoon temperatures should be in the low to mid 70s.

The warmest day of the week arrives on Wednesday, but it's still a wonderful day for any outdoor fan...

THIS WEEKEND

Starting Saturday, temperatures will rise back into the mid to upper 70s with plenty of sunshine.

Models continue to point to another cold front that will trigger another intensifying shot of colder temperatures through Sunday and Monday. This will cause temperatures to drop to the upper 60s and lower 70s on Sunday afternoon. At the moment it looks rather dry in the upper layers of the atmosphere, but some models suggest there could be a splash or two. We’ll keep an eye on things, but the forecast remains dry for now.

A second cold front will push our temperatures from the upper 70s into the upper 70s on Saturday.
