Fort Collins police need help identifying suspects in late-night shootings and attempted car break-ins

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (KKTV) – Fort Collins police said they are searching for two suspects connected to a shooting during an attempted car burglary early Monday morning.

At approximately 1:20 a.m., Fort Collins officers said they responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Crown Ridge Ln.

According to police, a female victim was woken up by a family member who noticed two men breaking into her car.

The woman was taken to hospital for her injuries. Police said she was released.

“We are asking the community to check all home security cameras, doorbell cameras or business surveillance footage for any suspicious activity, particularly anyone matching the description of the suspect, from Sunday evening between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. until Monday morning,” Fort police said Collins on Facebook.

The suspects were two men wearing dark clothing, hoodies and backpacks. Police said they are considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about this case was asked to contact the Fort Collins Police Department at 970-416-2825 or email [email protected]. Anyone who has experienced a vehicle robbery in the area since August 1 is also asked to report it to police if they have not already done so.
