What is “Coffee Coffee Dingle Dingle”? The TikTok trend, explained

There is no denying that TikTok has become an important part of many people’s lives. The app makes it so easy to mindlessly scroll for hours, which honestly can sometimes be more of a curse than a blessing. Drama, spam, or just negative content in general are all too common on TikTok – but that makes it even more special when you finally find something silly and funny to enjoy without a bad mood in sight. TikTok users Marty Miller and Missy McIntosh have recently become two of those creators creating useful content, and fans are too obsessed.

ICYMI, it all started when Miller and McIntosh, colleagues at the famous Bernie’s Restaurant in Brooklyn, New York, started making TikTok videos together. The two comedians used their own dialect when speaking to each other, a technique in the videos vulture described as “conversations that sound like you’re writing an entire TV show just by pressing the middle button on iMessage predictive text.” Basically, it’s “brain rot” – a term used online to describe content descriptions that only people who are constantly online can understand – and fans can’t get enough.

Some of Miller and McIntosh’s key phrases from their videos include “girl,” “guy,” and, fans’ favorite, “coffee, coffee.” These days, Miller posts videos of himself picking up his daily coffee and saying “Coffee, coffee,” followed by “Dingle Dingle.” The sentence has now gone viral.

Edits of “Coffee Coffee Dingle Dingle” quickly spread across TikTok, with several users recording videos of themselves dancing to a remix of one of Miller’s videos. Some commenters even joined in on the nonsensical phrases, with one user commenting “Obviously tomorrow, not to mention good” on a “Good morning girls” Tik Tok posted by Miller. (IYKYK.)

The phrase became so popular that you can even buy an official “Coffee-Coffee-Dingle-Dingle” hat online. The item description reads: “Dingle, Dingle girl. Let’s give our beautiful golden Head Girl a totally fashionable look.”

Even if the specific “brain rot” terms still don’t make sense to you, there’s no denying that Miller and McIntosh bring joy to their online community. If you’re having a busy day, maybe a little “caffeine” could help you feel better, and we have these two to thank for that.
