Kansas Insurance Commissioner Releases 2025 Health Insurance Report Ahead of Open Enrollment

Kansas Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt has released the 2025 Kansas Health Insurance Market Overview. This report provides details about the Kansas Health Insurance Marketplace and is available online.

The upcoming health insurance open enrollment period in Kansas runs from November 1st to January 15th. During this time, Kansas residents can choose to stay with their current policy (if available) or select a new one from their current or another provider.

In order for the insurance cover to take effect from January 1st, registration must be completed by December 15th. Policies purchased between December 16th and January 15th will begin coverage on February 1st.

“It is important for Kansans to make informed decisions when deciding what coverage is best for them and their families,” Schmidt said. “The Kansas Department of Insurance is here to provide information and help.”
