Wrestling is hosting a HOF celebration and open practice this weekend

FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason wrestling team will host an open practice at the George Mason Field House on Saturday, October 26th at 1 p.m. Later in the evening, the program will host its second annual 2024 Hall of Fame Celebration in the Johnson Center’s Dewberry Hall on the main campus starting at 5:00 p.m.


The open training under the direction of the head coach Frank Beasleywill give fans a first-hand look at the Patriots’ 2024-25 roster. The event also provides an opportunity to meet the two new assistant coaches who bring elite wrestling pedigrees to the program. Former NCAA champion and All-American Dean Heil joined the program as head assistant coach. In September, the Patriots added NCAA All-American Max Murin as coach.


The Hall of Fame event is an opportunity to celebrate the storied history of Mason wrestling with former coaches and alumni of the program. The celebration will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Admission is $50 per person and dress is business casual.
