Football continues to receive votes in week 8 polls

PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne University football team has risen to the top of the Receiving Votes category in the AFCA Coaches Poll and has the third-most points of any team receiving votes in the Week 8 release of the FCS national polls in the Stats Perform “-Opinion poll.

This is the sixth straight week the Dukes have received votes. In the AFCA Coaches Poll presented by Hudl, DU’s 47 points are their highest point total of the season and just three points outside the top 25.

Duquesne (4-2, 2-0 NEC) will travel to Stonehill this Saturday for another Northeast Conference clash. The Dukes had their second of two bye weeks this season last week after a 38-7 win at Saint Francis on Oct. 12. DU is undefeated (3-0) in FCS play this season, including a ranked win over No. 21/20 Youngstown State in Week 3.
