HoYoverse honors a music company’s reputation with its third consecutive music video trailer

HoYoverse will not be able to counter the accusations of being a music company that also makes some video games on the side in the near future. So it seems the company has fully embraced that call: its three most recent character trailers for Xilonen from Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero Burnice and Honkai: Star Rail’s Rappa were all straight music videos.

Rappa’s trailer, titled “No Dazzle, No Break,” has garnered a quarter of a million views in the three hours since its release and features an original song by popular Japanese artist Reol – fitting for someone with some rapper traits.

The Burnice trailer, which has over three million views just over a week after its release, went in a meme direction – you might even call it Brainrot. HoYoverse even went so far as to release an official hour-long loop of the song, which alone has over 1.5 million views.

Suffice it to say that in many people’s minds, Burnice is currently living rent free

Xilonen, who has some DJ characteristics, picked up another EDM-style song for her trailer, which starts off at least a little more traditional than the other videos, but develops into a full-fledged music video as it progresses.

It looks like HoYoverse is fully living up to its reputation as a music company with these character trailers and fans are all for it.

Xilonen and Burnice are currently available on their games’ banners, while Rappa appears on the Honkai: Star Rail 2.6 banners this week – the pre-release version of Honkai: Star Rail 2.6 is now available.
