Prime Video reveals first images of Top End Bub

Prime Video, Goalpost Pictures and ZDF Studios today released the first images of the highly anticipated romantic comedy series Top end boy. The new eight-part series, co-created by Miranda Tapsell and Joshua Tyler, is a sequel to the 2019 hit film. Top end wedding. Top end boy sees Miranda Tapsell (Love Child, The Sapphires, The Artful Dodgearound Gwilym Lee (Bohemian Rhapsody, The Great One) return to reprise their roles as Lauren and Ned from the 2019 box office hit. A return is also possible Ursula Yovich And Huw Higginson as Daffy and Trevor, Lauren’s parents; Shari Sebbens as Ronelle; Elaine Crombie as Dana; And Tracy Mann as Annie, Ned’s mother. Joining the cast is RobCollins, Brooke Satchwell, Guy Simon, Clarence RyanGladys-May Kelly makes her acting debut as Taya aka “Bub”.

The new series is created, written and executive produced by Top end wedding Writers Joshua Tyler and Miranda Tapsell, produced by Goalpost Pictures. Rosemary Blight of Goalpost Pictures is executive producing and the series is directed by Christian Van Vuuren and Shari Sebbens. Top end boy is supported by Screen Australia, Screen Territory and South Australian Film Corporation. The series was filmed in the Northern Territory and Adelaide and will launch in Australia and New Zealand on Prime Video. Top end boy International distribution is carried out by ZDF Studios.

Top end boy visits Lauren, a dynamic Indigenous lawyer ticking off her life goals in Adelaide. She is married to Ned, a handsome husband who makes fresh croissants. What else could a person need? After Lauren’s eight-year-old niece is orphaned, the series follows the couple as they reluctantly give up their big city goals and move to the Top End (where the outback meets the tropics) to raise the child. As Lauren and Ned juggle the responsibilities of becoming unexpected parents and trying to keep their marriage together, Lauren must grapple with her responsibilities within her culture as she transforms from an individualist to the fulcrum of her family.
