Play of the Week: One-handed interception by Ky Kendall

Play of the Week: One-handed interception by Ky Kendall

HAGERMAN, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) – There is only one week left in the high school football regular season. Can you believe how quickly another year has passed? But before we play some of these final games for high schoolers, it’s time for Week 8’s Friday Night Blitz Play of the Week.

This week’s play comes from Hagerman Pirates senior defensive back/wide receiver Ky Kendall in their game last Friday against undefeated Butte County.

BC’s quarterback stepped up to throw and the pass had a lot of air but fell well short of the receiver and Ky Kendall caught it out of the air with one hand for an incredible interception. He went to return the ball but was hit with a knee and then a late hit from a Butte County player who was hit

What a great win from Kendall, an All-State player last year who also scored two offensive touchdowns in the game and helped the Pirates end Butte County’s attempt at an undefeated season with a 30-14 win , and what a game it was in that game.

Hagerman will conclude its regular season on the road at Raft River this Friday and is safely in the 2A playoff picture regardless of the result.
