Wolf Creek, Colorado Ski Area announced today, October 20th, that the ski area will be open starting Tuesday, October 22nd.

While Wolf Creek won’t take the crown for being the first resort in the U.S. to open this season, the Colorado resort will offer significantly more terrain than Ski Ward, Massachusetts, which opens Saturday. October 19th, won the race for the opening. Ski Ward currently offers a single run served by a tow lift. Wolf Creek Ski Area will offer skiing and snowboarding seven days a week starting Tuesday. The Bonanza, Treasure and Nova lifts operate from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and provide access to approximately 30% of the mountain. The magic carpet is used for the “Wolf Pup” and “Wolf Rider” programs.

On opening day, visitors are invited to wear the anniversary colors of red and gold and receive a commemorative 85th anniversary sticker. For more information, visit the 85th anniversary page.
