The Health Camp of New Jersey, a nonprofit organization, held its 18thTh annual health fair at Shree Swaminarayan Temple in Secaucus, NJ on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

More than 200 people participated and benefited from various screening and disease prevention, as well as medical, dental and mental health education and counseling services, a press release said.

The health fair was open to all pre-registered attendees in the uninsured and underinsured categories to receive preventive comprehensive health exams as well as education, women’s health care, flu shots and many other services.

The doctors, specialists, mental health providers and healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, medical assistants, nurses, social workers and medical students, provided their services to screen and educate patients specifically for the South Asian population.

Secaucus Mayor Mike Gonnelli attended the event to recognize the service of HCNJ and the temple’s dedicated volunteers.

To date, HCNJ has screened more than 13,000 people in need in South Asian communities across the state since its founding in 1998.
