Watch: WDET hosts US election special with CBC Radio, NPR

The U.S. presidential election is just weeks away and the first in-person voting has already begun in some communities.

As Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump’s campaigns gain momentum in key swing states like Michigan, we continue to talk to voters about what motivates them to vote in this crucial election year.

As part of this ongoing conversation, WDET hosted the special international event: America Votes: A Cross-Border Conversation – in association with CBC Radio and NPR – with NPR’s Jeremy Hobson The middle, and CBC host Ian Hanomansing Cross country checkup.

The special broadcast on the US election was broadcast live in the USA and Canada on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Many listeners from the United States and Canada called in to join the discussion and share how the election results might impact them.
