Pokemon Co. launches TCG/TCG Pocket “Open Up” campaign.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game has continued to enjoy popularity decades after its release, and the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will soon be released worldwide, giving fans a whole new way to get in on the card collecting action. Ahead of this release, Pokémon Co. is bringing attention to TCG fun in general with a new campaign in Japan.

The above commercial was just released and shows young and old having fun with the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Some of these people enjoy Pokémon trading cards the traditional way, while others collect through the new Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app. Either way, Pokémon Co. is looking for people of all ages who want to start collecting.

Currently, the “Open Up” marketing campaign is only taking place in Japan. There’s no doubt that the Pokémon Trading Card Game is popular around the world, so there’s certainly a chance we’ll see similar marketing efforts in other regions.
