It’s unlikely that Rams WR will play against the Raiders today

There was hope all week that Cooper Kupp would be able to play today against the Las Vegas Raiders, but it doesn’t look like he’ll make his expected return.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Kupp is unlikely to play for the Los Angeles Rams today as he continues to recover from an ankle injury he suffered in Week 2. The Rams will work out Kupp before the game before making a final decision on his status. but right now he is not expected to start against the Raiders.

Assuming Kupp misses his fourth straight game, the Rams will continue with Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson and Jordan Whittington as their top three receivers.

If Kupp misses today, he has a chance to return in the Rams’ next game against the Vikings, which means a quick turnaround on Thursday night.

Before getting injured, Kupp caught 18 passes in the first two games and once again appeared to be Matthew Stafford’s top target on offense.
