Strictly speaking viewers will be in for a real shock when the recorded episode airs on BBC One tonight – but The Sun has decided not to reveal the name of the unfortunate contestant so as not to spoil the surprise.

But the mole in the studio audience has already given a glimpse of what’s to come – and which partnership won’t make Strictly the iconic Halloween-themed week.

Two couples are forced to dance again, after which the jury makes their decision.

Chief judge Shirley Ballas, 64, has the deciding factor as always – but this week she is not needed.

But fans who decided to read the spoiler went to X to vent their shock.

One fan quickly posted: “Wow! The person who was saved definitely didn’t deserve to be there, but I thought they might be, which is why I voted for them.”

“Again the curse of being first and in the middle of the leaderboard. Remember to save your favorites – they are not always safe!”

A second sentence: “Good decision, but I did NOT expect the surviving couple to be at the bottom.”

A third then mused: “Ohhh, too bad, he wasn’t that bad and he had fun.”

One then added: “Wow shocked at the person in the bottom two rows who survived. I really thought they were getting the votes because of their partner.”

Meanwhile, on the live show, Craig Revel Horwood called for the “disqualification” of Pete Wicks and his professional partner Jowita Przystal after he performed something deemed “illegal” in their rumba.

One celebrity who caused concern among fans on Saturday was sports star Sam Quek.

The 36-year-old ice hockey player performed a quickstep to Natasha Bedingfield’s “Unwritten” with his professional partner Nikita Kuzmin.

Viewers noticed that Sam was a little off in the routine – as did the judges – but it was her sad reaction that caused concern.
