Buckingham Palace releases new video of King Charles from Australia tour

Buckingham Palace has released the new video of King Charles and Queen Camilla after they attended the Sunday morning service as he began his tour of Australia in earnest, giving royal fans a first look at their reigning monarch.

King Charles and Camilla arrived in Sydney late Friday evening but kept a low profile as he juggles recovery from cancer with royal duties.

Sharing the video, the palace said: “Thank you to everyone who came to St Thomas’ Church this morning to say hello to Their Majesties as their first day of engagements in Australia began.”

King Charles’ first official public appearance was a Sunday morning service at St Thomas’ Anglican Church in Sydney’s north.

Royal watchers eager to catch a glimpse of the king will have another chance on Monday, when the monarch arrives in the capital Canberra alongside Queen Camilla for the busiest leg of his reduced schedule.

Charles – who received a life-changing cancer diagnosis just eight months ago – is embarking on a nine-day trip to Australia and Samoa, his first major trip abroad since his coronation.
