Rajasthan SOG searches multiple locations and arrests seven in SI paper leak case

Jaipur, October 20 (IANS) The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police has simultaneously searched several locations in different parts of the state and arrested more than seven accused from Khajwana village in Nagaur district in connection with the recruitment of a sub-inspector (SI ) arrested in investigation paper leak case.

The raids began in the early hours of Saturday morning and lasted for several hours.

The SOG also raided nine locations in Bikaner and arrested seven others for their alleged involvement in rigging the senior recruitment exams. The raids in Bikaner lasted from 6 am to 12 pm on Saturday.

The SOG brought all the detained accused to Jaipur. According to sources, those arrested included Ram Singh and Sunil Kumar – both candidates for SI recruitment exams.

Sunil Kumar, SHO of Kuchera police station in Nagaur, said, “The SOG team had informed the police station about raids just before taking action. Even now, SOG officers are constantly monitoring the area.”

Meanwhile, the SOG searched nine locations in Naya Shahar, JNV, Kotwali, Muktprakash, Jasrasar, Kalu, Khajuwala, Nokha and Napasar areas of Bikaner in the EO recruitment exam case.

Sunil Kumar, additional SOG SP, said, “Investigation is being conducted following the complaint of irregularities in EO examination. The team left for Jaipur with those arrested at 1 p.m. Arrests will also be made if necessary.”

The SOG also conducted raids in Beawar district.

The SOG has so far arrested around 50 aspiring SIs and more than 30 people linked to the racket allegedly involved in the 2021 SI recruitment exam document disclosure case. Many aspiring SIs are still on SOG’s radar.
