EPB Free Tree ReLeaf Program

EPB Free Tree ReLeaf Program

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Over 1,000 trees were given away this weekend as part of the Free Tree ReLeaf event.

EPB customers had the opportunity to purchase two native plants for their home while supplies lasted.

The event took place this weekend at the Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center Native Plant Nursery, where customers could choose from several native plant species.

The aim is to increase the city’s green spaces to make the city special, improve health, improve stormwater drainage and also the city’s water quality.

The program is made possible through the partnership between the Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center, the City of Chattanooga and EPB.

By planting trees, residents can achieve increased shade, reduced energy consumption, reduced soil erosion, enhanced wildlife, local tree canopy restoration and improved air quality.

We expect this program to continue grow in the coming years.

To qualify*, your home must be in the EPB service area and you must receive your electricity from EPB.
