New character banner leaks in Genshin Impact 5.2 have me worried about repeats

New character banner leaks in Genshin Impact 5.2 have me worried about repeats

The latest Genshin Impact 5.2 Character banner leaks have me worried about the repeat units selected. Version 5.2 is still weeks away from being implemented into HoYoverse’s action RPG, as the title has just arrived at version 5.1. This is a patch that added more Natlan Archon quests for players to help Mavuika repel the Abyss’ incursion on the nation of Pyro. In version 5.1, players can also fill in for Xilonen Genshin Impactand if they are lucky enough to get them, they can use the Geo Support Unit to significantly increase the team’s strength.

While there is still a lot of content to work on in version 5.1, beta testing for the next update has begun and leaks bring information about what will be added in version 5.2. This includes detailed descriptions of Chasca and Ororon’s gameplay kits, both of which will seemingly change the meta makeup of different parties – especially when it comes to exploration. Furthermore, the Genshin Impact 5.2’s leaked character banners had predicted a highly anticipated replay, although new details suggest the selected replay units have been changed again, and it looks terrible for some players.

While previous leaks suggested that Albedo, Venti, and Klee would be the featured 5-star repeats in version 5.2, a new leak from HomDGCat suggests that this will not be the case. Instead, the leak, which was shared in a post described as “Questionablesays on Reddit The Phase 1 banners will feature Chasca’s debut alongside a reprise of Lyney, while the Phase 2 banners will feature 5-star characters Neuvillette and Zhongli. Additionally, the leak suggests that Ororon, Heizou, and Fischl will be the 4-star characters with increased drop rates during one of the two leaked banner phases Genshin Impact 5.2.

Three other 4-star characters are also expected to have increased drop rates during one of the two banner phases, although which group will belong to which period is uncertain.

The rumored character replay change represents a massive change in the power level of the characters offered through the banners. While the characters in team compositions usually play different roles. Neuvillette is one of the strongest DPS units in the game, while Zhongli is considered one of the best shielders for any type of team competition. Lyney is also an excellent Pyro DPS unit. Meanwhile, Klee and Albedo aren’t as strong as they used to be, and Venti no longer feels as crucial as the newly leaked repeat characters Genshin Impact5.2. However, there is still a problem.

The lack of a repeat of Wriothesley becomes a problem in Genshin Impact

Cryo DPS is missing from the game

Even though the new leaked repeat characters feel like an evolution of the previous group mentioned in the leaks, Both rumors have one notable problem in common: the lack of a Wriothesley repeat. The 5-star Cryo character was released last year and quickly became one of the strongest and most reliable Cryo units in the game, even surpassing Ganyu’s potential in certain activities. Wriothesley’s ability and skill at dealing cryo damage with his normal and charged attacks – thanks to the use of a catalyst as a weapon – make him a great character for quickly triggering elemental reactions Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact: Wriothesley character builds (weapons, artifacts, team compositions)

If you give Wriothesley a proper build and team comp, he can become one of the best Cryo DPS characters in Genshin Impact. Here’s what you need.

Wriothesley’s first and only banner ran from mid-October to early November last year, and since its debut and limited run, it has not yet been made available for pulls in the gacha system. For reference: Wriothesley debuted in the Phase 2 banners of version 4.1following Neuvillette’s debut in the Version 4.1 Phase 1 banners. In contrast, if the leak is true, it will be the second time Neuvillette has reappeared since his debut, unlike Wriothelsey who has not made a second appearance Genshin ImpactCharacter banner.

Neuvillette appeared in a repeat banner in version 4.5, just three updates after his initial debut in the game.

Wriothesley’s absence from repeat banners is also evident from releases that came later than his and had already appeared in repeats. This is the case Furina, which was released in version 4.2, a full patch after Wriothesley, and was already re-run in version 4.7. The same goes for Chiori, who was released in version 4.5 and appears in repeat banners Genshin Impact 5.1. While HoYoverse is not committed to bringing Wriothesley back to the stage, it seems like an odd decision to hold him back considering how popular he is and how many players have expressed losing him in version 4.1.

Cryo characters feel left out of Genshin Impact at the moment

Other units were missing from the banners

While Wriothesley’s lack of repetition is most notable due to his power level, it seems like Cryo characters are being left out of the meta entirely as of late. The last 5-star Cryo character to have a repeat was Ayaka Kamisato in version 4.3. Additionally, Both Ganyu and Shenhe received new outfits during the 2024 Lantern Rite Festival, but neither of them have appeared in repeat banners for over a year. It’s uncertain why Cryo characters don’t get much time in the spotlight in Natlan, especially considering how strong Melt can be Genshin Impact.

The next major Cryo character to be released is Citlali, who has already been confirmed to have Cryo vision. Leaks have mentioned that Citlali is a 5-star character that could be a game-changer for the elemental type. According to rumors, Citlali will be released in version 5.3. For reference, this is the same patch that predicts the release of Mavuika, although both claims have yet to be confirmed by the developer. The leaks about Citlali’s abilities in Genshin Impact 5.3 indicate that she will be a cryo-shielder, similar to Layla.

Genshin Impact 5.2 Leaks: Imaginarium Theater gets a lot better

New leaks have surfaced about the Imaginarium Theater in Genshin Impact 5.2 and if true, the updates should make the endgame activity more enjoyable.

I hope Wriothesley, Shenhe, and Ganyu appear in repeat banners soon, even if that means changing the leaked banners again for version 5.2. The presence of Cryo characters in the game is important. Delaying the opportunity to get them seems like a waste, especially given how well they could work with the Natlan characters. Still, the leaks should be treated with caution, especially when it comes to repeating characters that are extremely susceptible to changes before the livestream. After Genshin Impact 5.2 livestream in November we should get confirmation as to whether Wriothesley will remain absent or not.
