What’s your favorite cult classic movie?

What’s your favorite cult classic movie?

What is the best Friday the 13th movie?

It’s officially Friday the 13th, which means everyone should be having a Friday the 13th movie marathon. Unfortunately, not all of them are worth the watch, particularly the strange switch to sci-fi, Jason X. Though the original Friday the 13th is a great movie that sets up the rest of the franchise, I think Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter is the best of the bunch. The Final Chapter is a great slasher film with a cool 80s feel to it. I’d consider it an instant classic.

What would be Avengers: Secret Wars’ best superhero team-up?

Avengers: Secret Wars has the potential to feature a wide array of MCU and multiverse heroes. In order to defeat Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, many powerful heroes will have to team up, and that could include some pairings that fans have been waiting to see for a very long time. The superhero duo I most want to see is Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, as the two helped set the path for future Marvel movies. I’d also love to see Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man with a Spider-Woman version of Emma stone’s Gwen Stacy, bringing their chemistry back.

Where was Ahsoka during the original trilogy?

In the 40 years since the original trilogy ended, Star Was has introduced a number of iconic characters across its long-ranging timeline, and The Clone Wars’ Ahsoka remains one of fans’ favorites. Following a hiatus in her tenure, Ahsoka has recently been seen in the Mandalorian post-Empire era, leaving many to wonder where she was during the original trilogy of movies. Given Ahsoka was still so rattled by her master’s turn to the Dark Side, it seems likely she was in hiding in the same vein as Obi-Wan Kenobi while she better honed her skills.

Who should Henry Cavill play in the MCU after Deadpool & Wolverine’s Cavillrine cameo?

Deadpool & Wolverine delivered on a bit of fan-casting with Henry Cavill appearing as a multiverse version of Hugh Jackman’s X-Men hero. While it seems unlikely he’ll reprise the role beyond the movie, fans have been sharing their thoughts on who Cavill should play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since he made his debut as Superman in the DC Extended Universe’s Man of Steel. Though Captain Britain and Cyclops remain the more popular choices, I personally think it would be intriguing to see him either play Nova, particularly since there’s a TV show in the works for the character, or even Mephisto, as I think he could both deliver on the Devil’s power as much as evil charm.

Who should take over playing Freddy Krueger in A Nightmare On Elm Street?

Robert Englund recently confirmed that he would not be playing Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise again in the future beyond a potential animated movie, leaving the door open for someone else to take on the role. Though the prior attempt to relaunch the franchise with the Jackie Earle Haley-led 2010 remake was largely dismissed by critics, Haley’s performance has stood out as one of the few good things about it for me, and I would certainly be open to him coming back. If not, other people I think would be great are Englund’s own secondary pick, Kevin Bacon, particularly as it would be a fun full-circle moment to see him go from slasher victim in the original Friday the 13th to an iconic slasher, Richard Brake, who is often incredibly haunting in the indie horror genre sphere, or if they want to go in a more quippy direction as the later sequels did, I would love to see Doug Jones or Matthew Lillard.

Could Zack Snyder’s Justice League movies continue in some form?

Zack Snyder has teased a theatrical event for fans to watch his Justice League movie. Despite the impending arrival of James Gunn’s new DC Universe, there are still vocal fans who want to see Snyder finish his vision for the Justice League. While the campaign to get the “Snyderverse” on Netflix is unlikely to work, there is a more realistic way for fans to experience Snyder’s plans for the Justice League sequels. Snyder has said that he would enjoy bringing his vision to DC Comics, and a limited series that concludes his Justice League plans could be a major success.

When will the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 trailer release?

After a two-year wait, Sonic the Hedgehog 3’s release is finally right around the corner, currently set for a December 20 date, and yet no proper trailer has been released for the threequel by Paramount, save for a brief snippet of footage shown at CinemaCon in April. Though there is some concern this is pointing to a release date delay, I think it’s more likely Paramount is saving the trailer to be released around the same time as Transformers One, given the prequel’s family-friendly tone and leaving just enough time until Sonic the Hedgehog 3’s arrival to build anticipation.

Has The Monsterverse become too Kong-focused?

Despite kicking off the franchise with Godzilla, the Monsterverse has steadily become more focused on Kong than any of the other monsters and Titans, particularly with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire and Skull Island on Netflix. As the franchise gears up to expand with a new movie, Monarch season 2 and Apple TV+ spinoffs, some are hoping for Godzilla to return to the focus, and I couldn’t agree more. With each new movie, Kong has been fleshed out as a hero while Godzilla’s ties to humanity have remained ambiguous, and it’s time for him to get the same treatment.

Why did Harold and the Purple Crayon flop?

The live-action adaptation of Harold and the Purple Crayon is officially a box office flop, having made only $9 million in its global opening. Oddly enough, it has a strong 92% Audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes against just a 25% Critic rating. Critics have called it bleak and boring, but audiences overwhelmingly see it as a fun family movie. Unfortunately, it’s competing with box office juggernaut Inside Out 2. Sony probably would have been better off releasing Harold and the Purple Crayon in the winter, as it’s a strange choice for a summer movie.

Who should play Batman in James Gunn’s DCU?

I’m not huge on many of the common casting ideas for Batman in The Brave and the Bold movie, but one star who’s caught my eye is Lee Pace. He’s the right age for an older Batman to fit the DCU’s story, and he’s got the physicality to be one of the most imposing iterations of the character, much like Affleck’s.

Who should play the DCU’s new Wonder Woman?

Gal Gadot is reportedly not coming back as the Wonder Woman of the new DC Universe. With the role up for grabs, there are a few actors who could take Diana Prince in interesting directions. A fan-favorite, Alexandra Daddario would nail the Greek mythology aspects of Wonder Woman’s character after her role in the two Percy Jackson movies. That said, Andor’s Adria Arjona is the candidate I currently like the most for the role, being able to imbue Diana with charisma and fierceness, which are both traits of the hero. Ana de Armas would be a great high-profile Wonder Woman choice.

What villain should Tom Holland’s Peter Parker fight in Spider-Man 4?

Kevin Feige recently confirmed that the first drafts of the script for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 are gearing up to be turned into the studio, creating excitement for the MCU webslinger’s return, as well as curiosity as to what villain he’ll face off against next. With so many already set up in previous movies, I think it would be the most intriguing to actually see Scorpion finally return to get revenge against Peter after the events of Homecoming, particularly with the MCU’s grounded twists to its iconic Spider-Man villains thus far.

Which game character should Sonic the Hedgehog 3 introduce?

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is right around the corner and all eyes are on the incoming arrival of Shadow the Hedgehog, who will be voiced by Keanu Reeves. That said, though, there are a number of cast actors whose roles have yet to be confirmed, as well as a variety of game characters who have yet to appear in the franchise. I personally am holding out hope for Amy to appear to see how the filmmakers tackle that dynamic, and the already-cast Krysten Ritter could prove an interesting take on the character.

Who should play Rogue in the MCU’s X-Men reboot?

As development continues on the Marvel Cinematic Universe-set reboot of the X-Men franchise, fans continue to voice their picks for who should play the iconic mutant superhero team, including Rogue. While some minds may gravitate to the likes of Jenna Ortega or Millie Bobby Brown for the role, I’d personally be intrigued to see Mckenna Grace’s take on the character, as she’s not only shown an incredible acting range in the recent Ghostbusters movie and A Friend of the Family, but also an interesting mix of introverted and extroverted personalities with her characters that I think would suit Rogue perfectly. Additionally, given the MCU has recast actors in the past, Grace’s prior role as a young Carol Danvers could easily be a non-issue.

Why did Agatha All Along recast Billy Maximoff?

Julian Hilliard played Billy Maximoff, one of Wanda and Vision’s sons, in both WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, Agatha All Along has now revealed that Joe Locke’s mysterious “Teen” is none other than Billy. While the character was referred to as Billy Maximoff in Agatha All Along’s midseason trailer, I believe that the MCU will explain the situation like the comics did, with the Scarlet Witch’s son’s soul being reincarnated in Billy Kaplan’s body. By it being a different body with the soul of Wanda’s son, Locke could then play Billy Maximoff instead of Hilliard.

Who should play Dick Grayson/Nightwing in the DCU?

James Gunn has confirmed that Bat-Family members will appear in the DCU’s Batman reboot movie The Brave and the Bold. A Robin animated movie, Dynamic Duo, has also been announced, featuring Dick Grayson and Jason Todd, though it has not been confirmed for the DCU. I believe that if the animated film is part of the DCU, then it will be set in the past, as Damian Wayne’s role in The Brave and the Bold asks for Dick to already be Nightwing. Based on that, I would love to see fan-favorite Dylan O’Brien or The Winchesters’ Drake Rodger as Nightwing.

Should Gal Gadot be the DCU’s Wonder Woman?

The new DC Universe has yet to announce who will play its Wonder Woman. However, all signs point to Gal Gadot — like the rest of the DCEU’s Justice League cast — being out of the role. While I mostly liked Gadot’s Wonder Woman, I don’t think she was the definitive casting for the character. As such, I think casting a new actor as the DCU’s Wonder Woman would be the ideal move, making way for a new era for Diana Prince, perhaps with a bigger focus on her Greek ties. Hit Man’s Adria Arjona would be a great choice.

Is Leonardo DiCaprio stuck in the dream world in Inception’s ending?

Fewer movie endings remain as hotly debated as that of Inception’s, in which Leonardo DiCaprio’s Cobb chooses to ignore the spinning top to determine if he’s awake or dreaming, and simply embrace seeing his children again. Christopher Nolan has frequently indicated that the emotion of the scene is far more important than the logistical one, while various cast members have weighed in with their theories. While I do agree with Nolan that the actual answer doesn’t necessarily matter, since it’s an emotional moment either way, I do think there are enough clues to the ending being set in the real world, including Michael Caine’s Stephen being present, given he was never featured in any of the dream sequences.

What are your predictions for Married At First Sight season 18?

Married At First Sight season 18 is just getting underway, but there’s already enough information on the couples to make a few solid predictions. After meeting the couples during the matchmaking special, I was convinced that David and Michelle would be the most consistent couple of the season. Now, I’m walking it back a bit, but I feel as though that Madison and Allen could be a pair that makes it all the way to the end.

What is Christopher Nolan’s best movie?

Christopher Nolan is one of the most celebrated filmmakers of his time, making it hard to choose one movie above all else. Somewhat shockingly, Nolan didn’t win an Oscar for directing until Oppenheimer, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s his best film. I think the best Christopher Nolan movie is between Memento and The Dark Knight. The structure of Memento is brilliant and The Dark Knight is one of the best superhero movies, if not the best, ever made.
