Ipswich vs Everton: LIVE updates, watch live, score, analysis, highlights

Don’t look now, but Everton can improve to four games unbeaten on Saturday if they get another result against fellow relegators Ipswich Town, who are one of four teams still waiting for their first win of the season.

The Toffees (5 points – 16th place) drew with Leicester before the recent international break, beat Crystal Palace and Newcastle (2 goals conceded in 3 games), which gave them all five points after they were at the start of the Premier League season had lost four in a row (13 goals conceded in 4 games). However, in the last two defeats against Bournemouth and Aston Villa there has been significant improvement from Sean Dyche’s side. Sure, they lost both games 3-2 despite leading 2-0 in both games, but they played good attacking football until the moment it all came crashing down. With Palace turning the tables and winning 2-1 from 1-0 down, that’s seven halves of good football in five games – anything close to that for the rest of the season, and Everton will be miles away from the relegation zone .

The Tractor Boys (4 points – 17th place) are also currently out of the relegation zone, having ended their last four games in a draw. Ipswich picked up a point each against Fulham, Brighton, Southampton and Aston Villa (three very impressive results in total) but were then beaten 4-1 by West Ham. With four goals in the last five games, Liam Delap is currently carrying most of the scoring burden.

Ipswich Town vs Everton live updates – By Nick Mendola

Ipswich vs Everton Live Score: 0-2

Iliman Ndiaye 17′, Michael Keane 41′

Goal from Michael Keane! Ipswich Town – Everton 0:2 (41st minute)

Wow.

Dwight McNeil has his third assist of the Premier League season, while centre-back Michael Keane delivers his strangely usual banger.

McNeil sends a great pass into the left box and Keane viciously shoots the ball towards the top of the goal.

Ipswich Town penalty…overturned?!?

Jack Clarke was fouled in the penalty area by Dwight McNeil. It’s a penalty, although there is a long VAR review.

Clarke’s foot slips a little as he goes to shoot, but he brings his kicking leg into contact as it is caught by McNeil’s shin.

McNeil’s calf is visibly moved by the contact and Clarke is knocked to the ground by the effort, but VAR sent Michael Oliver onto the screen and he knocked him over!

Very surprising.

Goal from Iliman Ndiaye! Ipswich Town – Everton 0-1 (17th minute)

Jack Harrison sails a cross to the back post and Ipswich’s heading defense falls into chaos.

Iliman Ndiaye shoots in front of the nearest defender, takes the ball and pushes it into the goal with ease.

Ndiaye scores Everton 1-0 ahead of Ipswich Town

The Toffees take the lead thanks to a powerful shot from Iliman Ndiaye from inside the Ipswich Town penalty area.

Muric denies Calvert-Lewin!

We are 15 minutes late and Dominic Calvert-Lewin has the first chance.

Having slipped into the penalty area, he is unable to slip the ball past an attacking Arijanet Muric.

It leads to a corner but Ipswich defend it.

0-0, 8′.
