Google uses the largest solar farm in Texas

They held a large ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday in Central Texas for one of the largest solar projects in the United States

And for Google, it was the largest solar power deal the company has ever made.

The venue is Buckholts, Texas, and the event attracted U.S. Energy Secretary Jenier Granholm, who has been busy in recent weeks attending as many energy events as possible in the run-up to the presidential election. She called the project a “poster child” for the Biden-Harris administration’s promotion of green energy projects.

“Sometimes when you’re in the middle of the story, it’s hard to tell because you’re in the middle of it,” she said, the reported Associated Press.

“But I’m telling you right now that we are in the middle of history being written.”

The project built by SB Energy is called “Orion Solar Belt”. It will provide 875 megawatts of energy.
